> 3 dayI finally watched this movie which has been maligned for years. But, I found it to be a heartfelt, quirky and love-able Christmas movie with a message. Tim Allen plays a man who convinces his wife, wonderfully played by Jamie Lee Curtis to skip and ignore Christmas in lieu of his dream Caribbean vacation. Well, life disrupts his plans when their daughter decides to surprise then with her fiancée for Christmas. The movie starts with the Kranks pissing off everybody form their neighbors, the police, the tree salesman, etc with their message of no Christmas décor, tree, party or celebration. The latter half sees those same people come together to help the Kranks slap together a home Christmas for their daughter who is beloved. Dan Ackroyd, Cheech Marin, and M. Emmett Walsh have solid supporting roles

> 3 dayMy family and I always enjoy movies weve never seen before, especially around the holidays. This one is fun and silly, but the premise is also rather ridiculous and I ended up disappointed in it.

> 3 dayIn the 1st 15 minutes, I wanted to go hide but Dan Akroyd showed up and then I knew it was going to get better. And, it did. Once the hijinks became sufficiently absurd, it was more enjoyable. And, it is an absurd plot. The carolers made the movie for me.

> 3 dayAn alternative to mushy holiday movies and it still captures the important elements of the holiday- family, friends, faith, helping, giving and rejoicing. It does all this with laughter.
