Classical Baby: Im Grown Up Now: The Poetry Show

You can watch it with your kids for holiday time. It makes very peaceful moment and also same time you can introduce about the poetry to the kids.

We do not own the DVD, but we saved it to our DVR when it aired on HBO Family because our son loved the Classical Baby 2 (also aired on HBO, not purchased), which has art and music. Though its format is different than the others - if youve read other reviews, you know that it has brief segments throughout with little children discussing poetry - my son LOVES this show as much, if not more, than the other Classical Baby shows. It is full of animated segments with voiceovers by both celebrities and some of the singers / poets themselves (e.g., William Carlos Williams, Langston Hughes). While Ive never been a fan of the animation in this series, its not for me, right?? My son really likes the animation. And the poems are relatively kid-friendly and recited in a soothing tone. My son has been watching this for so long that at 21 months, he asks for it by name. Want to watch The Poetry Show! Now, Im not proud that hes begging to watch TV, ha... but it sure beats Spongebob Squarepants!

I love thus video, and so does my toddler. LOVES IT. Has started quoting some of the poems... What a beautiful thing to fill your childs head with. Think about it. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

My child enjoys this DVD a lot. Plus it is good for kids ears to hear poems.

I bought because my 19 month old grandbaby could not get enough of baby one. Truly. Do bought because Amazon posted bought together. But not a good idea. Would love more like the first baby one.

A wonderful follow-up to Baby Music and Baby Dance. It is an impressive collection of children describing poetry. I hope there are more of this series.

My grandoughter is a bit too young to understand poetry but she enjoys watching and listening to the kids. I absolutely love seeing the poetry visualized and the children featured in the video are extremly creative, smart and enjoyable to watch.

Grandson is mesmerized by this DVD. Absolutely worth it!

This is a MUST BUY item. We LOVE the Classical Baby series and this one is as good as the rest. Its poetry is sooo lovely and its such a wonderful way to expose your little ones (my son is two) to poetry and the beauty of synchronous rhyme. Its truly lovely, I wish theyd make more! The only con I see with this item is that I wish it were longer (its only about 20 minutes total in length).

This CD was a bedtime ritual between my grandson and I. It is absolutely wonderful. Every infant to young child should have it.
