Classical Baby: Im Grown Up Now: The Poetry Show

Very good video, although my least favorite of the 4-series, which is exceptional and one of the best series. Far exceeds typical baby-kids videos of today. A taste of arts to be remembered. Well done, HBO!

Like HBOs classical baby, the poetry show is wonderfully crafted. there are interviews with children and the usual animation that goes with the poem/music. celebrities voice the poems. a great introduction to poetry for both child and adult. even though i have an infant i still play this dvd for her.

My son is 18 months old and loves the Classical Baby movies (Art, Dance and Music). So I bought this Poetry and he loves it as well. Very cute dvd.

This is the only video that she will watch (besides Caesar the dog whisper, because of all the cute dogs, lol!) I think its because: • music and animation are calm and well made (not frenetic like most cartoons) • there are short segments with young children (4-9 yrs old) where they speak about poems. ITS GREAT! • each poem is animated differently and its short (2-3 minutes each) KEEPS HER INTEREST • theres an animated child MC who introduces the poems • its less than 30 minutes in total length • Celebrity voices and authors, singers, readers is a plus for parents. We dont watch much TV. We are making it a point to avoid TV for our child (16 months old), but this is a wonderful family program, that we all watch together and we talk about it as its running, so shes not being baby sat by the program.

I bought this with my future grandson in mind. But, when my current grandson, almost 4, saw it he wanted it, now. He has memorized some of the poems already, less then a month later. I think that is the highest recommendation a product can receive.

My children loved all of the Baby Classical. They would sit in front of the TV from infants & be glued to it. It is also pleasant to listen to while you try to get somethings done while they are preoccupied. Much better than listening to Dora or Barney. I would rather get Classical Baby stuck in my head for the day than one of those. They are now 5 & & YO and if I turn it on, they still sit & watch it.

This is a MUST BUY item. We LOVE the Classical Baby series and this one is as good as the rest. Its poetry is sooo lovely and its such a wonderful way to expose your little ones (my son is two) to poetry and the beauty of synchronous rhyme. Its truly lovely, I wish theyd make more! The only con I see with this item is that I wish it were longer (its only about 20 minutes total in length).

The Poetry cd was a run away favorite for all ages: from 5 to 70. My 5 y.o. grand-daughter said: I love this. It makes me feel calm.

This is another great video for young children, does not disappoint!

This CD was a bedtime ritual between my grandson and I. It is absolutely wonderful. Every infant to young child should have it.
