I had the first three classical baby DVDs and wanted to get this one as well. It was not disappointing and had everything I wanted for my baby. She is 15 months old and doesnt yet like the slower poems, like William Shakespeare, but when she is a little older, I think she will get into the groove. So, if you like the first three, you will like this one as well. It has poems, songs, and children reading poems or talking about poems. It even has a poem in Spanish, which is very beautifully read by Andy Garcia.

All Classical Baby shows - now including this one - are favorites of my daughter. A welcome alternative to barely educational cartoons!

I am a first grade teacher and I use this video to introduce my poetry unit. My class loves it and asks to watch it over and over. It really holds their interest. They really like listening to what the children in the video say about poetry and they want to discuss the poems after viewing the video. As a teacher, you could not ask for more.

What a great way to introduce poetry to kids!!! Ive loved the Classical Baby series as much as my kids ever did, and Ive watched this one on my own as many times as I have with my children! A great mix of literature, art, music, and acting.

Another great DVD in the Classical Baby series. I only wish, for their length, they were all on one DVD.

This is a high quality product. Were very concerned about what we expose our son to and this HBO product meets the highest standards.

A MUST HAVE SHOW for your kids!!! We love it!!! And it has sparked a general love and interest of poetry among our children. :) I could do without the comments of the children between poetry. I wish they just wouldve added more classic works of poetry.

Young children are instinctively drawn to the sound of rhyming words and the rhythmic cadence of poetry. Add colorful animation, music, and footage of real elementary age children, and Classical Baby has created an appealing half-hour program that encourages an early appreciation of poetry. Produced in association with The Poetry Foundation, Classical Baby: The Poetry Show is a compilation of 13 favorite poems from poetry masters like William Shakespeare, John Keats, Woodie Guthrie, and Gertrude Stein. Famous personalities including Gwyneth Paltrow and Susan Sarandon recite poems like Elizabeth Barrett Browning"s "How Do I Love Thee?" and Robert Frost"s "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening." William Carlos Williams reads his own "This is Just to Say" while Hoagy Carmichael performs Johnny Mercer"s "Skylark" and young children recite poems like William Carlos Williams" "The Red Wheelbarrow." Poems are accompanied by bright animation that"s highly appealing to children and many are followed by brief comments from elementary age children. Some preschool and elementary-age viewers will be transfixed by the entire production while others will pick and choose the segments they find interesting, but what"s most important is that every young viewer gains exposure to the art of poetry. --Tami Horiuchi
