Classical Baby: Im Grown Up Now: The Poetry Show

> 3 dayThe other classical baby episodes are excellent, but this one is not. It feels like a grownup telling a kid what they should be interested in instead of being something that kids (much less babies) would genuinely like. We have all 6 episodes and play all of them weekly except for this episode that we have to skip over. It is not worth watching

> 3 dayWe have a 14 month old baby who is mesmerized by this poetry video. It soothes her and she loves the children’s segments. She lights up when they come into the screen as if her best friend just showed up. She has been enjoying this video for months. Its so calming in this fast paced, loud world, for us too.

> 3 dayBeautiful and charming. Gkids love it and so do I ! Presently by children who comment on the nature of poetry. The poems are well chosen representing variety from Frost (Stopping by Woods...to Edward Lears Owl and the Pussycat to Shakespeare)and each is animated and narrated wonderfully by just the right voice for each selection ! Beautiful introduction to poetry! Highly recommend!

> 3 dayI love it. It is HBOs great production. Baby can listen to it and watch it again and again, and it is so well done, we do not mind repeating it for her, again and again. I love this DVD is excellent. The only downside it is that if you live in Europe you need the kind of DVD that plays universally all formats. But otherwise this is an excellent production.

> 3 dayAs a fan of Classical Baby products, I worried that Poetry might be too advanced for my toddler. Nope. She adores it. Additionally, she re-enacts the scene on the dvd cover -- she lays on her stomach and reads thick books while quoting the poetry to herself. Poetry takes a difficult subject and brings it to toddler level, without watering it down. The segments are interspersed with small children who explain the poems and explain how poetry works. The animation exceeds industry standards. As an adult, Ive never liked poetry, but now Im fascinated by it. This dvd is phenomenal for both toddlers and adults. I highly recommend Classical Baby: Poetry.

> 3 dayLike HBOs classical baby, the poetry show is wonderfully crafted. there are interviews with children and the usual animation that goes with the poem/music. celebrities voice the poems. a great introduction to poetry for both child and adult. even though i have an infant i still play this dvd for her.
