> 3 dayYou can slide the green slider up, even without holding down the ‘PUSH’ button. Expected it to lock and keep its position till you push the white ‘PUSH’ button area to move it up or down.

> 3 daySaw this on a YouTube video with Nancy Zieman. I have the original metal type but thought this looked interesting. While I cant figure out all the uses, the main use as a gauge works Terrifically! I wish it were metal but it is so helpful. I am able to mark things out much more accurately when sewing which saves time and frustration! Ive even ordered several other of Nancys items because this one worked so well. Oh, I am a sewing grandma who always looks for new things to sew and ways to make my sewing faster and more fun!

> 3 dayThis is not the usual measuring gauge that I am use to using so it is taking me a little longer to get use to this one. But, I do like the versatility that this gauge gives me and look forward to being able to use it more.

> 3 dayI was looking for a sewing gauge that would not bend easily, like so many of the metal ones do these days. After much hemming (no pun intended) and hawing, I chose this one based on some advice from a sewing group. I truly think this is a bit over-priced (and I was lucky enough to get it for $8 not the current price). I do not quilt so I think some of the features are a bit unnecessary, FOR ME personally. I DO like that it clicks into place but on the other hand, I feel like it might snap some times when I do that. This is what I wanted: A gauge that would not bend & a gauge that had a slide that would stay in place during a task. Does this do that? ... yes. Am I happy about that? ... yes. Do I think I had to pay a lot of money for that? ... yes. BUT ... is there another product that does that? ... No. (Not that I could find). I think what it comes down to is: when you get tired of buying metal gauges that bend and dont stay in place then you may decide to buy this. Dont get me wrong, it does A LOT, but if you dont use all those features (like me) its a waste ... I hope this was helpful ... Would I buy this again if/when it breaks ... I dont think so.

23-11-2024Still havent figured everything out with this thing, but I purchased it for the measuring part. Love it. Wish there was a metal one so I could iron over it though.

> 3 dayI have always used the small metal rulers that my mother used, but it didnt seem to be sufficient lately, especially after I ran across the little plastic indicator that rarely stayed in place while using my rotary cutter. When I saw this ruler by Nancy Zieman, whose television program I always enjoyed and who was a bit of a heroine for me back when I was just developing my sewing skills, I decided to try using it and it has worked very well. The indicator is hard to miss and it keeps its place until I decide to move it. I am very pleased with my purchase.

> 3 dayI use this gauge almost every day in my sewing room. In fact, I loved the first one so much I bought two more--an extra to take with me to my quilting group sewing, and an extra for use at my ironing board. This is a very high quality tool, especially for being made out of plastic. But I should not have been surprised, Nancys Notions products are always top notch. This is a very useful tool, for a number of uses. I use it mostly to measure seam and hem widths so my work is straight, but you can use it for working with buttonholes and buttons and other things as well. I recommend this as a basic tool for anyone wishing to sew...it wont disappoint.

> 3 dayThis is a must have gadget for anyone that sews! I love that the top is wide for marking longer runs of fabric. The locking measurement slide is also so helpful as my older gauge would slip and I constantly had to make sure that I was still on the same depth for marking. A very useful tool.
