I was looking for a sewing gauge that would not bend easily, like so many of the metal ones do these days. After much hemming (no pun intended) and hawing, I chose this one based on some advice from a sewing group. I truly think this is a bit over-priced (and I was lucky enough to get it for $8 not the current price). I do not quilt so I think some of the features are a bit unnecessary, FOR ME personally. I DO like that it clicks into place but on the other hand, I feel like it might snap some times when I do that. This is what I wanted: A gauge that would not bend & a gauge that had a slide that would stay in place during a task. Does this do that? ... yes. Am I happy about that? ... yes. Do I think I had to pay a lot of money for that? ... yes. BUT ... is there another product that does that? ... No. (Not that I could find). I think what it comes down to is: when you get tired of buying metal gauges that bend and dont stay in place then you may decide to buy this. Dont get me wrong, it does A LOT, but if you dont use all those features (like me) its a waste ... I hope this was helpful ... Would I buy this again if/when it breaks ... I dont think so.

Use this constantly as I am a garment sewer. Multiple uses. Check out various YouTube videos.

This is not the usual measuring gauge that I am use to using so it is taking me a little longer to get use to this one. But, I do like the versatility that this gauge gives me and look forward to being able to use it more.

This is a great sewing tool. It is easy to operate, measurement stays put while using. Why didnt I buy one sooner?! So far, I have just used the measuring function, but with all the ways to use it, it has gotten my creative juices going! Well worth the price.

When I first got it I thought it was a bit tacky & plasticky. However, it has proved to be invaluable. Wish it was made in a better quality though. Always a little concerned about breaking it!

I bought this a couple of months ago when I decided that I wanted to take sewing from simple mending to actual creations. Since then, I have recommended it to a friend and bought another one as a gift. This little gadget has saved me from buying 4 separate gadgets (5 if I ever need a compass). Its construction is sturdier than the alternative at my local sewing store and it is incredibly easy to use. I had to add hem allowances to a project that was 39x78 and this made it very easy and much quicker than I had anticipated; I never had to readjust the guides back into position because it has a lock mechanism where you have to purposefully press down a release button in order to move the guide to a new measurement. I love that it has two rulers - the static one on top and the adjustable just below which allowed me to ensure straight markings at all times and, in the case of a buttonhole, 2 markings at once. I used the button hole feature for marking the size and position where ribbon would come out of a gift bag. I simply placed the ribbon over the gauge and moved the ruler up to the bottom of the ribbon and took that to the fabric to make my markings. Once again, since it locks in place, it was very easy to make repetitive markings for various gifts bags without concern remeasuring. The narrow spacing in the middle allowed me to mark a straight line in the center to guide me between the ends of my button hole. I even used it at Christmas for my gift wrapping. I highly recommend this notion added to your sewing kit.

I like that it locks where I need it to. Unlike my old little metal ones that never stayed exactly where I put them. Also like the nice wide end for marking up against.

Works good, but I wish the hole (for compus-use) was a bit bigger so I could fit my Frixion pen. Its a great function half wasted. Looks a lot sturdier, but it is all plastic, so dont get disappointed that it isnt metal. You could snap it if you try hard enough. On the other hand, it will snap instead of bend if you put too much force on it somehow, which means unless you do, it will not bend like the cheap thin sheet metal gauges you can get for $1.

Love this little gadget, its so handy and much nicer than my old metal one. Features that I love: Easy to mark buttonholes and buttons placement Easy to measure since it locks in place Really neat compass feature for drawing circles Its a T gauge, a hem gauge, a compass, buttonhole spacer, and a seam allowance gauge. I Would definitely recommend this!

I LOVE this tool! I have been making shades which required a lot of seams and hems to be very accurately measured. I love that this gauge locks into place so there is no drifting as you use it multiple times. I have not yet tried the circular drawing capability, but I did check it out just a bit. The spot where you hold it steady is designed such that, even though you are holding it down firmly, the radial parts still moves quite freely, so it should work well. It is just a little more flexible than I thought it would be but so far that has not proven to be an issue at all.

A multi-functional sliding gauge for easy marking. Use this handy tool for marking button holes; seam allowance gauge; hem gauge; circle compass; T gauge and that is only sewing. Try this handy tool for scrapbooking; card making; paper crafts; and much more. Adjustable from 0 to 5-inch in 1/8-inch increments. Constructed of plastic. Imported.
