> 3 dayI LOVE this tool! I have been making shades which required a lot of seams and hems to be very accurately measured. I love that this gauge locks into place so there is no drifting as you use it multiple times. I have not yet tried the circular drawing capability, but I did check it out just a bit. The spot where you hold it steady is designed such that, even though you are holding it down firmly, the radial parts still moves quite freely, so it should work well. It is just a little more flexible than I thought it would be but so far that has not proven to be an issue at all.

> 3 dayReally havent got to use this tool to much yet. Will have to wait and see how much I use it to see if it was worth the money I spent on it. What I have used it so far is fine

> 3 dayThis tool certainly does the job its advertised to do. Ive never used a tool like this before, and I just find the gauge a little hard to read. I have to keep checking it against a ruler to remind myself where on the device youre supposed to measure from. I like that the pieces of the sliding gauge dont move around, but I find it a bit difficult to release the mechanism to set it to the distance I want. The button is just hard to push. But, still, it has a job to do and it does it adequately.

> 3 dayVery versatile tool that I plan to use to draw lines for consistent calligraphy spacing, and as a measuring and tracing ruler for papercrafting. The sliding measure glides smoothly and will allow for quick and easy measurement markings. I can also see possibilities for marking bookbinding holes spaced at certain distances.

Greater than one weekI debated about purchasing this because I have many other little sliding rulers. I went ahead and purchased this and it really is different. It locks into place - no more sliding up and down when you are trying to measure. And the crossbar is much longer - this also is great for many things. Wish I had had this 40 years ago. Great little tool.

> 3 dayWhat a let-down! Im generally a fan of Nancy and her notions, but this one is not very useful. First, its flimsy plastic. I have to keep it out of the fray when Im sewing just to make sure it isnt cracked. Also, the sliding gauge doesnt stay put, despite the little locking plastic piece that is supposed to hold it. If this was all metal Id love it. Theres a hole inside a rotating disc near the top for drawing circles, but the hole is really small. A needle fits, but not a t-pin, which is what you might want to use with a padded work surface. So, good ideas but cheap materials. Again.

Greater than one weekI buy seam guages by the dozen. Should have bought this years ago. Easy to read. Makes adding seam allowances and marking hem fast and accurate.

> 3 dayI have always used the small metal rulers that my mother used, but it didnt seem to be sufficient lately, especially after I ran across the little plastic indicator that rarely stayed in place while using my rotary cutter. When I saw this ruler by Nancy Zieman, whose television program I always enjoyed and who was a bit of a heroine for me back when I was just developing my sewing skills, I decided to try using it and it has worked very well. The indicator is hard to miss and it keeps its place until I decide to move it. I am very pleased with my purchase.
