Commute Messenger Bag

I couldnt be happier with a bag! I am currently a graduate student and this bag is a perfect bag for professional and casual work events/environments. Living a place that gets snow and rain a fair amount it is nice to have a bag that can hold its own against the elements.

I have bought 2 of these style bags. I think I would also like a smaller one for just my tablet when I travel on short trips. I travel often and need easy access to things on plane, room, and ease of carrying.

It’s light stores a lot and looks good. Will definitely look for the same brand next time i need a new bag.

This is my third messenger bag in the past 5 years, and probably the best. It replaces an old design from REI that is no longer being sold. The Timbuk2 bag somehow manages to hold as much stuff as the REI bag did while taking up considerably less space. There are plenty of interior pockets to help with organization. Im not sure how water resistant it is since I havent had it outside in the rain or drizzle. The REI bag was excellent in that regard; it had an interior zipper that allowed you to completely seal off the contents of the bag from the elements. The Timbuk2 bag lacks such an interior zipper, but the outer flap may provide similar protection. I do wish that the side pockets on the outside of the bag were a little deeper, to ensure that water bottles and travel mugs stayed in place.

Love this bag. Everything I disliked about my old Timbuk2 was improved. Quality product and smart design.

This is a great laptop bag, perfect size and easy access to the laptop with opening the entire bag. I am not a fan of the shoulder strap pad included, but maybe it just need to be broken in as its kind of bulky.

I really like the bag, it has a lot of pockets, and feels quality. But I had to mark it down for (2) reasons. One is the lining inside the back travel pocket started to tear less than a month after using it. I dont think Im very hard on it, so I was surprised. And the second is when I tried to get a replacement or repair, of course it was past the return window, so they offered me a repair. Im still waiting for the paperwork in the mail to start that, its been weeks. Anyways, if you dont mind being easy on it, I think its a good bag.

Only one issue...they say the front pocket holds a phone but a phone will not fit in the front pocket? My phone is a Samsung S6 so we are not talking an extremely large phone. Otherwise a great project with lots of features.
