> 3 dayA necessity for drilling holes for water supply/drain pipes for a new bathroom vanity that had a solid plywood back. I was skeptical right at the beginning of the first drill when I smelled essence of pine from the plywood, but slow, steady pressure saw the job through. Even when I moved from the back to the front side where there was a nice, finished veneer surface, the drill cut through with perfect holes with a fine finished look. The only drawback was that no instructions were included with the package, and being a novice woodworker, I managed to get the job done without destroying the finished surface of the vanity, (Thats the only reason I gave it 4 stars.)

Greater than one weekNot a good buy for any practical utility. May be ok for thin plastic. The drill bit had trouble getting through a 1.5 inch pine board. I used a 7/32 drill bit to pre drill. The 1+1/2 inch hole blade wasnt very sharp. The saw dust wasnt being ejected out, despite pulling it out every 1/8 inch or so. I ran my drill at half speed and paused every 30 seconds (hoping not to build up too much heat). I thought maybe I wasnt spinning fast enough to get the sawdust out of the teeth so I speed it up. The wood started smoking (of course) so I stopped. When I ran the drill in reverse (slowly) to pull out the hole saw, the drill bit broke (see pictures). Also, the depth of the saw is a hair shy of an inch (so getting through a 2x4 takes two passes). Just thought Id iterate that here because it didnt help my frustration (I fully take responsibility) . Reading it and experiencing it are two different things.

Greater than one weekI wanted to make a drawer holder for the coffee pods for our new Keurig coffee maker, so I purchased this hole saw kit. It worked perfectly with a hand held cordless drill, would have been even better in a drill press, but I got the job done. Now that I have this kit, I will probably find other uses for it.

> 3 dayUsed this to go through asphalt shingles in the roof to put in a vent. If I had more than a couple to do, there would have been a problem as the tool was chewed up. For softer plywood, the quality would be fine.

> 3 dayI cut out a 2” drain hole barely got through the layers of 2x4 seal plate and 3/4 flooring without starting a fire. Stopping multiple times to clear debris and let it cool down. The attachments bent and the teeth are completely rounded over.
