I ordered these at my husbands request. Hes getting into knife making (just what a man with a million other projects needs!) and thought these brass rods would work for his newest hobby. I have to say, he did a great job of repairing my favorite filet knife that was so old, the scales (I learned a new term!) split and were in bad shape. He fashioned a new handle and put all back together with these brass rods. So yeah, five stars from me for that reason alone!

COOLNEON’s offering of 3/8-inch by 12-inch brass rod arrived packaged in a nice plastic tube. The rod was straight, with a smooth finish and the correct dimensions. I mounted it up in my lathe and tested the material for machinability. There were no issues. This rod is destined to make brass highlights for my metal projects.

I plan to use these rods to build structures on my model railroad layout. They are exactly the size thats advertised, so no matter what you intend to use them for, rest assured that theyll work as you need. Their finish is very attractive. Im satisfied with them and think you will be, too.

I am a wood worker and have experimented with making Yo-Yos. The problem I have had is with the axle. Every type of wood I have tried has not been really good. These brass rods are perfect for this. They wont wear quickly and are smooth enough for the string not to wear and snag or wear through. A small squeeze in the vice to put a burr on each end them press each end into one half of the Yo-Yos and Im in business. Great find.

I needed these to make shear pins for a small outboard. I really only needed one or two, but the price for one or two was more than this price for 6. Ill find a use for them though.

Picked this up to made a sight punch, as well as a back-up squib rod for the range. Not much to say about a brass rod, other than it works and the price is right.

These rods are actually 3/8 inch in diameter. I had also ordered some 1/8 rods which I had already reviewed and it guess Amazon got confused. These brass rods are a perfect 3/8 inch. They appear to be laser cut. They seem pretty bright and putting them in my lathe or drill and polishing with1000 grit they will shine bright. Got this to make a small tool for my engraving and these brass rods are always good stock to have on hand for whatever project may turn up.

This is a brass rod. It is exact in its measurements, well made with a nice surface finish. Great for any use youd need a brass rod for. It is exactly the length and diameter it is supposed to be. I used it to turn small brass fittings from and it worked perfectly.

Accurate diameter and quality brass. Will be useing them for knife handles and wood work.
