> 3 dayPurchased 20 months ago, it works well on hard and carpeted floors as well as the detachable hand unit. The led lights are very helpful. A month ago the lights and roller stopped working when swiveling to one side. After inspection I found that one of the wires in the lower swiveling unit was about to break. Contacted support since there is a 2 year warranty. They were very responsive although I had to follow up twice to find out the status. In less than a week I had a completely new unit at my door. I give it a thumbs up.

> 3 dayI loved this vacuum when I first got it in the mail and then realized it wasn’t picking up any dirt, I then received a replacement and that worked fine for a few uses and then again even after cleaning, it stopped working again. I asked for help via the service line and still nothing so I am now looking for another vacuum after paying $100 for this one.

Greater than one weekI have had 3 similar units (Anker, Eufy, Dirt Devil) and one Oreck which was much more expensive. None of these last too long (IMO) and 2 years is when most start to have issues. This one is ahead of the pack because replacement parts are available direct at a reasonable price. That is a big plus. The big news is, the suction and brush roller are a vast improvement over other brands and the filter is made of reusable foam, not folded paper at rediculous prices. This picks up what others do not and the headlight is a great feature for seeing what is in the floor clearly. Only time will tell how it holds up but it seems to be much more substantial than similar models from the past by other brand names (awe know that brands are really a marketing gimmick since Chinese made products are all made my government owned facilities, not independent companies. The Anker and Eufy were IDENTICAL). They are really all the same brand with different labels and price points. It doesn’t matter in the end because they are competitively priced products that offer true value and are always being updated. This vacuum is a great deal at $87. I was considering getting the Shark or the Hoover Battery Uprights this time, when I saw this. I’m glad I purchased it. It’s a solid value. And for light pick up after a parrot, just perfect. For big jobs, get a plug in.

Greater than one weekWe visited a friend for a few days and she showed us the vacuum that she was using. Her daughter had recommended it to her. It was very lightweight, easy to move around, and no cord to trip over. We then went home and bought one for ourselves. It is amazing!! I cant believe we used our old clunky vacuum for so long! The new vacuum is very lightweight, and all the pieces snap together in a very easy and logical way. The suction compartment can even be popped off and used as a hand piece all by itself!! This product is a dream! I love cleaning my floors now, its not a hassle and is actually fun to get it done so fast. It has a very simple charging station, easy to plug in and take out. I plan on recommending this to everyone, especially a great gift for newlyweds. I find the price very fair. (I saw some other vacuums included steam or wet clean function, but I think trying to cram so many functions into one piece will just make it riskier to breakdown or have a malfunction.) I still like to use my Swiffer to do a wet clean once a week, especially in the bathroom and kitchen, and then after it dries, use the Roomie Vacuum. Just like my friend, I can now vacuum everyday if I want, as there is no longer the hassle to pull out the old vacuum with a huge canister, and no cord to trip over.

Greater than one weekI have a handheld that I was using for small stuff but this is a handheld on steroids. I bought this because I thought it would greatly assist me (and my back) in keeping my laminate floors clean when I didnt want to lug out the old broom and boy, was I right!! It is so light to handle and swivels every which way. I love the light on the front which illuminates the dirt on the floor. Also, it is a handheld vacuum, which detaches if you need to, but I mainly just use it in the upright position. The only negative, and it isnt that bad, is that you need to go over the floors edges twice...the outer edge suction isnt strong enough to get some of the dirt when you run the vacuum parallel to the edges. It is a great addition to my supply of cleaning tools. I dont have any grandchildren yet but my boyfriends 13 year old granddaughter was enamored by it.
