> 3 dayI got the vacuum today and after the first job I am satisfied with my purchase, but of course there are things to consider when purchasing this vacuum. Pros: light weight, the body is flexible against the base, picks up everything on hard wood, the battery life is great for a 3 bed 2 bath house 1200 square foot with charge still left on eco mode, picked up car litter off hard wood flooring, the hand held device did a great job on the couch and with my youngsters booster seat, it was easy to put together, the device was not overly noisy because usually my cat and toddler run from the vacuum and they didnt Cons: to empty the canister you have to go through a filter and another piece. The filter and the other piece are difficult to align sometimes, but it looks easy to clean the filter and everything. And also kinda a con but a pro as well cause it did remove most debris. I have one bigger area rug and I was not able to go forward because it wouldnt roll. But the device did a good job going back ward and me softly dragging it. Overall the pros outweigh the cons and I think its a great vacuum and purchase.

> 3 day** UPDATE ** 7-5-21 Originally I had ranked this vacuum as 5 stars. Now it is down to 3. If you dont mind paying $99 for a vacuum that only lasts 2 years, then maybe this vacuum is for you. Personally I find that unacceptable; Ive had vacuums that lasted 20 years. Both the light and the brush roller on the Roomie Tec are nonfunctioning. Ive had the vacuum for 16 months and given it meticulous care, cleaning it out after every use, putting it carefully back together. I treated this vacuum with TLC because I loved it so much. But now it is virtually useless. The manufacturer said since its past the two-year warranty period my only option is to pay (yes, I would have to pay) to ship it 2000 miles away so they can take a look at it. No, thanks. I will give the customer service department credit for being responsive to my phone call and trying hard over email to diagnose the problem. But in the end Im left with a $99 contribution to the landfill, which is hugely disappointing. ** UPDATE ** 7-1-21 After a little 16 months of use, the brush roller is completely nonfunctioning and the light on the vacuum is starting to go bad. Sometimes the light doesnt go on at all. Other times it flickers on and off while I use the vacuum. I contacted the manufacturer a week ago but have not heard back from them yet. I have removed a star from my review. If the manufacturer rectifies the problem to my satisfaction, I will return the star. Contacting them again today. This vacuum is da bomb! Seriously. Goodbye bagged vacuum; you’ve been replaced. The Roomie is lightweight, easy to store, easy to maneuver, and most importantly - it cleans! This is my first cordless and my first bagless. Oh, how I love the ease of vacuuming without a cord. And bagless means all the gunk that gets sucked up goes immediately into the garbage where it belongs instead of being stored in a nasty, dirty bag for months on end. Assuming the Roomie stands the test of time, he’s a keeper! I’ll try to remember to update in a few months.

> 3 dayI like to have a stick-type vacuum for the kitchen and quick cleaning of the hardwood floor in the family room. I have purchased Bis**ll in the past and like them very much. But they have chosen to save money by changing out the sit-on base charger for a plug-in charger. I saw this little stick vacuum and decided to try it. I am disappointed that it does not pick up even the smallest particles. It will draw the particles in and then spit them back out. Sometimes it doesnt even pick the particles up, just pushes them around on the floor. This vacuum is probably okay for pet hair or dust bunnies but not small particles that come in on the bottom of my husbands shoes or particles under the kitchen table after meals. The containment bin is odd. It has a small directional plastic part in front of the sucking mechanism. Once that gets full (clogged) the vacuum picks up even less. I tired removing that part and using the vacuum without it. The vacuum then had an odd whistle sound to the motor. The washable filter gets very packed with dust, dust bunnies, hair, etc., and you literally have to pick it clean with your fingers. Not sure I would wash this filter (foam piece) in my sink and let all that go down the drain. And if you dont seat the pieces in just right, the hand-held pieces will not go back together right. Pros: 1. It is very quite. 2. The light on the vacuum head to see is nice, especially on dark hardwood floors 3. Very light weight and easy to maneuver 4. Has a sit-on base charger Cons: 1. Not quite sure why it needs two speeds - does not pick up very well even on high speed. 2. Just about everything else about this little vacuum. Not sure I can return it as I have used it 3 times but still within the return window. I do not like this vacuum and I cannot recommend the purchase of this vacuum.

> 3 dayIt took trying out 5 different brands of new rechargeable upright/handvac vacuum cleaners after my old one gave up the ghost, but Ive finally found one that does what I need it to do! Its not totally perfect, there are some design features Id change if it was up to me, but it does what I most need. PROS: 1. It vacuums floors and carpeting especially low pile carpeting efficiently including extracting pet fur. We have 2 old Siamese cats and an old long haired Australian Shepherd mix. They all shed more in their old age. This vacuum does a good job of surface to medium depth cleaning into the carpet fibers and collects the fur well. 2. The roller brush is removable for easy removal of longer pet fur that tends to wrap around the roller AND the roller brush DOES NOT allow a ball of fur to get easily lodged between the end of the roller and the drive gear and stop the roller from turning. For, the sake of good general maintenance, I am still removing the roller every 3 or 4 uses and cleaning off the roller and the rollers ends and drive gear. (*Note: I tried a model by Bissell which had ALL of the features I wanted, BUT the roller brush jammed up 3 times in a total of 6 minutes of operation. Id remove the brush and clear out a small ball of fur that got wedged in the drive gear, only to have it jam up again within a couple of minutes, so that one went back!) 3. Both High and Low Speed Suction work well and stay consistent till the battery gets almost depleted. I havent run it down to needing a full charge, but I have vacuumed 20 to 25 minutes non-stop without a significant suction drop. 4. The light is nice and bright. 5. It balances well in the hand and is not overly heavy and is easy to adjust for vacuuming under beds and dressers, etc. It can also stand upright by itself without the holding stand. In addition, the handle can be folded down. *This shortens the storage height of the unit, but does increase its width front to back. 5. The debris cup is easy to empty and wipe clean or wash and holds about a cup and half of debris before needing to be emptied. 6. The inner filter is the re-usable washable foam sponge type. 7. The combo wand/brush fits the handvac snugly and works well. CONS: 1. The handvac unit releases well from the handle unit, but there isnt a good grip point on the handvac itself to help with pulling it away from the handle, so extracting it is awkward. 2. The ONLY option for charging the unit is that you HAVE to use the floor stand, you cant plug the charging cable into the hand/vac part - as is the case with most portable vacuums of this style. This greatly increases the size of the units foot print. I could tuck my old rechargeable vacuum behind my kitchen door, but thats not possible with this one because of floor stand is so big. 3. There is no attachment point on the vacuum that can hold the combo wand/brush so that you have it readily accessible during your vacuuming activities. The floor stand has a built in holder for the wand/brush unit, but that means you have to remember to remove the wand/brush unit and carry it about with you manually while vacuuming or you will have to walk back to your charging floor stand to get the wand/brush, if you need to use it. 4. The floor brush section would be a lot more user friendly if had about another 1/8th inch of clearance from the floor. It does well at picking up smaller bits of debris, but to get up bigger bits like a cheerio, larger pieces of cat litter or a small piece of dried cat kibble about 3/8th inch in diameter, you have to pick the floor vacuums head up, position it in front of the larger debris, and then roll it backwards while holding the rear end of the brush section about a quarter inch above the floor. In effect you have to lower the brush head down on top of the debris. 5. The floor brush does reasonably well at sucking up debris on the side of the brush heads housing, but the suction there isnt as strong as it is on some other brands models. So there you have it! This one has all the major bells and whistles most folks will need, and it works well without any major drawbacks!

> 3 dayEnjoy the freedom of a lightweight cordless vac for less than $100 with a fairly powerful 100 Amp motor juiced with a 2200 mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery — providing.around 20+ minutes of working time. It is hard to find such a workhorse weighing two lbs. Charging is quick! And, suction power is adequate for simple cleanups. Perfect for hardwood floors! Although short on tools, this vac isn’t meant to replace a large vac for a luxury home filled with thick carpeting. A small apartment, condo or use for a quick cleanup around the kitchen would be an ideal usage. Great for a dorm room. An annoying drawback is a wand that does’t stand on its own while pausing cleaning. Also, the charging stand could be more stable. Requires some fussing to get the charging contacts lined up. Nice Warranty for two years!
