Cover Case Compatible with New Nintendo 2DS XL, Crystal Clear Case Compatible with Nintendo 2DS XL

Okay product for the price.. fits well for my kids 2ds XL.. I placed decals first then the clear case.. looks good!

I got the New 2DS XL because I liked the color and design of it more than the current New 3D varieties so I wanted a clear case that would not cover it up but would prevent scratches and other minor damage. This is your basic clear hard plastic case but it does exactly what I wanted it to do. It fit perfectly and being thin and light doesnt add much bulk to the system so it still slides into the carrying bag I have with no difficulties. It does make it a bit tighter fit but it is still fine especially as the bag was design with New 3DS XL dimensions in mind. There are cut outs for all the ports so nothing about using the console is interfered with. It does attract fingerprints more than the matte finish of the 2DS XL itself but that was expected and not a problem. Definitely recommended for basic protection. Note that the shiny hard plastic will probably scratch over time. I personally dont care since its a case, better it than the console.

Normally I like to give 5 stars for everything I bought. but this one have a little damage in my cover. so -1 star

Its a lovey case, I like that I can see the natural look of my new 2dsxl. It also feels thick but not so much where it cant fit. It also doesnt interrupt any openings or buttons the 2dsxl has which is great.

Works perfectly and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Protects the finish nicely on the New 2DS XL. While allowing all the buttons to be fully accesible. Also does not cover nor hide the overall beautiful look of the system either. Easy to put on and easy to remove. Great product, great price. 100% recommended!

It fits the console properly, the top piece is great, but difficult to remove. The bottom piece goes on and comes off easily. Its sturdy enough to protect from surface scuffs from impact but unlikely to protect from a big drop. The huge issue is that the lower piece has sharp edges and will likely cause scratches where it latches to the console. Easpecially if removed often. I would not reccomend this for NEW and scratchless consoles. The bottom of the case also doesnt grip the console tightly and can be wiggled a bit with your finger pretty easily. As it stands, unless mine happens to be a faulty product, I cant in good faith reccomend this for a collector to keep the console scratchless or for anyone who wants to keep the console from absorbing many impacts.

February 12, 2019 UPDATE : After having it on for a few months, 6 months to the day now, my 2DS now has more scratches and scuffs where this case sits.Its obvious that this case has helped protect from deep scratches, however there are light ones contently being developed. I took the case off to clean the inside of it as some dust had gotten between it and the system. At this point I could never recommend this to anyone from my personal experience, as I am a 36 year old and this is the first portable device that I got a case for where the case did damage to the device. Yes its cosmetic, however the intent was to keep this in close to a like new condition when being used, and it has failed. I uploaded another picture showing this, it is the one with the system upside down. Unfortunately, my only option to have this system in good condition is to buy another one. I have no intention of doing that, and if I did I would look into spending much more for a proper protective case. August 11, 2018 : Overall this looks nice, however the bottom piece does not sit flush with the system in the front and it also caused scratches on the system. The system was taken out of the retail box and immediately carefully placed into the case. This was disappointing as I expected there might be some from having the case snap on, but that wasnt the situation. I have found that taking the cover off and putting it back on caused no markings where the small clips are. The top part has not caused an issue, however I feel thats because there were no cutouts for buttons/ports. The cutouts are properly placed, and there is no obstruction. Speakers are completely as if its not there, the card slot cover cutout is well sized with minimal extra exposed plastic. The combination headphone jack and stylus cutout as well as the volume cutout are both good sizes allowing easy access and usability. At this point, I will keep it, but only because the damage has been done. Pictures show scratches marks as well as the bottom gap and me gently pressing on the cover to eliminate the gap.

This product works but it arrived to me defective and the plastic on the bottom half wasnt bent correctly to fit right. Luckily it only took a little bending of the plastic to get it to fit firmly but at least it works. I recommend going with design that grips better on the bottom half of the the 2DS XL, like the ones that grip around all edges of the bottom half. I give it a 3 out 5 because it works but sometimes you will have to make adjustments to make it work.
