So far so good! Ive had this a few days and the directions to get it up and running are very easy. So far, Ive just cut a bunch of images with cardstock and some vinyl to get used to it, but it seems to be working very well. For the reviews that say that you have to pay a monthly fee to use it, thats simply not true. The software is free and you can use it on a computer, tablet, or phone. The subscription is only if you want unlimited access to Cricuts images. But they have plenty of images that are free to use, plus the Internet is full of free images. You can also make your own easily, just watch some YouTube videos to see how. But if Cricut has an image that you really want to use that isnt free, you dont need to subscribe, you can buy an image individually. There is a free two week trial of their subscription, but Im not going to use that until I really feel like I could take advantage of it.

I have done many projects in card-stock, vinyl and foil transfer. I have been very pleased with the results. It is especially awesome at cutting out vinyl, even very intricate designs. It does not cut intricate designs in card-stock as well. I have found that unless you use the premium fine point cutting blades the (non-premium) ones wear out really fast. I went through 1 a week, and I wasnt doing that much cutting. The machine is really nice, just stock up on blades.

Bottom line: be prepared to spend some time learning how to use design space but so awesome once you learn how to make it do what you want One of my good friends raves about her cricut and has had a couple different ones. I finally decided to get one to prep for my daughter’s birthday party amongst other things. I was super excited to try it out and even asked my friend to walk me through the basics before it arrived. While I love the machine and the ability to cut and write quickly and neatly, there is definitely a learning curve. It took a lot of trial and error for me to figure out how to get the images to look and be positioned the way I wanted and also to get the images onto one page. Watching YouTube videos helped but I had to watch a few different ones for each new thing I wanted to do. Also, the videos aren’t always helpful since the design space looks pretty different now than it did when a lot of those videos were made. The most helpful for me was talking to someone who knew how to use the machine already and having them show me the basics. Even then, there was a lot of trial and error. However, it’s awesome once you figure it out! I actually had an easier time using the iPad app over the computer website design space. The Bluetooth feature helps a lot since you have the option to use the iPad or the phone.

I have always wanted a cricuit and finally bought myself one for my birthday. I was nervous that it would be hard to learn, but it was not, and I have been having so much fun making decals. I am looking forward to learning to make more things. It really has limitless possibilities.

best investment that I ever done. A mi me encanta hacer manualidades y siempre he vendido algunas de ellas.

Wife likes this a lot better than cameo, and this is so much quieter! Cameo is silly loud. Just wish this came with transfer paper. She wasnt able to complete her first project because there was not transfer paper included.
