> 3 dayThis was my first cricut machine and I absolutely love it. I was intimidated by it at first. It sat in the box for over a month. When I finally decided to use it I couldnt believe how much it could do!! I now use it all the time! Ive had it for almost a year and no issues yet! If youre on the fence about getting one this is a great one to start with! Its easy to learn how to use and user friendly!

> 3 dayWould probably have to say that this is overpriced, but it made a great gift and the recipient is having a great time with it. Supplies are expensive but still it’s

> 3 daySo far, I think this is an okay product, You have to use their software online. It also downloads something to your computer that runs on startup which connects to the online program. I dont like programs that run on startup or that connect to an outside company. Can you say potential for hacking? It also slows down my computer when I start it. So minus one star for this. My computer is running Windows 8 and did not automatically load the drivers for the cutter. The website does tell you how to do it, however, I can see this will be a problem for the technically challenged because it requires you to access the device manager and browse for the driver. The software is fairly easy to use. I just uploaded some images, printed and cut them. They were mostly clean images that I cleaned up in another program, but cleaning the image on Cricut seems easy as well. It lets you print on your printer then cut. I dont like that there is a lot of wasted space on my paper. I dont know if I can change the margins on this, but for a cutter that will cut on 12x12 paper, it should not only cut a 9x6 area on my 8.5x11 cardstock. It does need to print a black frame around the cut area to allow the cutter to find the right lines. My printer will print with .2 inch margins or less. The first thing I cut was on 110 lb cardstock from Neenah paper. It doesnt feel heavy as light chipboard. It cut great with the regular cutter. I bought the tool set and found the spatula is useless on the cardstock, it just rips it. My fingernails worked better. The standard sticky mat holds very well, at least when new. So anything lighter may be hard to remove. I would recommend the lighter grip mat for anything thinner than cardstock. I will update as I try other papers. I bought this and 4 days later they dropped the price by $13. This really annoys me and lowers the rating by a star. Amazon no longer matches the price for products it sells. This was not sold by a third party, which I could understand, since Amazon would not have control over the deal There should be a time limit on these things, since it wasnt a sale price, just a dropped price. I totally get not matching lightening deals.

> 3 dayI received this for Christmas. It was easy for me to use and learn, you can use it on your phone or a computer! When unboxing it I noticed I almost threw away a pen that came with it (so if you buy this watch you don’t make that mistake). I’ve done many things with mine (cups, plates, shirts, keychains, signs, picture frames, hats, “stickers”) about 6 months of use and I can tell my blade needs changed, the Cricut mats are only expected to be used 40 times, I learned that you can wash and reuse them! With my blade I’ve worked with vinyl and leather. You can use the pen for writing or drawling! If your into crafting it’ll keep you busy!

> 3 dayBottom line: be prepared to spend some time learning how to use design space but so awesome once you learn how to make it do what you want One of my good friends raves about her cricut and has had a couple different ones. I finally decided to get one to prep for my daughter’s birthday party amongst other things. I was super excited to try it out and even asked my friend to walk me through the basics before it arrived. While I love the machine and the ability to cut and write quickly and neatly, there is definitely a learning curve. It took a lot of trial and error for me to figure out how to get the images to look and be positioned the way I wanted and also to get the images onto one page. Watching YouTube videos helped but I had to watch a few different ones for each new thing I wanted to do. Also, the videos aren’t always helpful since the design space looks pretty different now than it did when a lot of those videos were made. The most helpful for me was talking to someone who knew how to use the machine already and having them show me the basics. Even then, there was a lot of trial and error. However, it’s awesome once you figure it out! I actually had an easier time using the iPad app over the computer website design space. The Bluetooth feature helps a lot since you have the option to use the iPad or the phone.
