> 3 dayCricut used to be the creme de la creme for makers, artists, and crafters, but theyve seriously lost their way. This is a great device overall, but the software that comes with it is absolute garbage in every possible way, and in a few weeks Cricut will be demanding you pay $10 a month for Access which is their paid subscription product in order to continue to use your own designs or be capped at 20 total uploads per month. This is unacceptable, and while the hardware is fantastic, the software, which has been hot garbage for years, is now a paid subscription that all but the lightest of occasional users will have to buy into to keep using their device. There is no local option; everything goes through their servers and now youre going to be charged to use them. I cant complain about the hardware, but considering how often I have to upload, then re-upload, then re-upload just to get something right with this clod of an app, its disheartening to know Ill have to pay $10 a month to keep going. The only thing they have going for them is that the competition is terrible (Sorry Silhouette, your app is garbage and your hardware is pathetic) but I am not a happy camper. If they go back on this subscription service, or give me a local storage option, Ill happily up my rating because I am, overall, very happy with my purchase, but as of today? It was hard to not go down to 1 star. Cricut needs to fix this because great hardware hobbled by terrible software is not great hardware.

Greater than one weekLove is a strong word... but I love my Cricut! At first when I bought this machine, I thought, Im really not all that crafty and I probably wont ever use this machine and itll collect dust just like all the big dollar items Ive purchased over the years BUT little did I know that Id start cutting vinyl and end up making a business out of it!!! I now have a steady flow of customers that buy from me on Etsy and eBay daily! Im definitely more creative than I thought I was and I actually love sitting down to design decals and cut them out with my Cricut Explorer Air 2! Even though Ive only mentioned vinyl, this machine does SO SO SO much more. I believe it cuts 100 different types of materials including vinyl but Ive had so much fun cutting vinyl decals that Ive yet to explore any of the other projects that you can make with this little work horse! So far, Im still using the original blade that it came with (fine point) and it cuts like a dream! If youre curious about this machine and would like to hear more about what all it does, go to QVC or HSN on YouTube and watch the sales videos. Thats how I first heard about it. It really does give you a good idea of what you can do with it. I recently made two heat transfer vinyl shirts with this machine as well and I get compliments on the shirts all the time! I now have a new hobby to this little work horse! Thanks Amazon for selling it to me at such a low price on Amazon Prime Day!!! Thanks Cricut for making such a wonderful product, and thank you for allowing Cricut users to use your design software FREE without having to purchase a separate license to use your Design Software!

> 3 dayI bought the Cricut explorer 2 air. first of all i called into the company to ask questions before i purchased the machine. i did alot of reserch online also watching videos etc...then i felt good about spending 300 dollars on all of it, and vinyls, cutting matts, cutters etc..when i got the machine in the mail and set eventually set it up. The first thin you do is create an online cricut account, put in your serial number and go to design space.com. The problem i started having is you cant download the program onto your desktop pc so in order to use the machine you have to be connected to the internet No one said anything about this: The 2nd thing is in order to use the online service you have to pay 10.00 per month No one said anything about this. So if i dont use it for 2-3 months i still have to pay right? There is some hidden things they dont tell you about before you buy this..i dont think its right to have to pay 120.00 a year to use this machine that i already purchased. if i had know any of this i would have never bought this. Im sending it all back for a refund. Beware: Update: i also purchased cutters and cutting mats that i never used, so i sent them back for a refund its been almost a month and no refund yet. im just one of the dissatisfied customers they have or had.

> 3 dayThe Cricut Explore Air 2 is the perfect tool for the crafty people of the world. It is extremely simple to use (after some trial and error) and makes the perfect design every time! I have only had my machine for about 2 weeks and have already made over 20 stencil designs to paint, as well as some vinyl stickers and a logo for a business! I bought this machine after I started my hand painted sign business; it was taking me a few hours to cut each stencil by hand, so I found an easier and faster way to do it! With my machine, I can make a stencil in about 15 minutes from start to finish. The Design Space app for the Cricut Explore Air 2 is really user friendly and I love that I can work on the same design from my phone and laptop! There is a helpful tour of Design Space that is given right when you make an account to teach you the basics. My only complaint about this system is that you need to buy a monthly subscription to use some of the fonts/images. To get away from spending the $5/month for images; Design Space allows you to upload any image you want, which I found to be extremely useful. The only downside of this is that you have format each image that you upload, this can be a little time consuming. Since I use my machine to make stencils to paint, I wish there were more stencil fonts. There are currently only 2 stencil fonts that are available for free. I can see this machine starting a ton of small businesses; the Cricut Explore Air two is so versatile, it can cut anything from cardstock to leather, copper, vinyl and more! The machine makes it simple to make t-shirts, stencils, vinyl stickers, decals, business cards, party decorations and more! This specific machine comes with a mat, pen, and blade. I have since bought a larger mat. It is necessary to buy some extra add-ons for different crafts, but these add-ons are very reasonable and will ensure that your craft comes out perfect. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my Cricut Explore Air 2 machine; it has done everything perfect so far and makes it so much easier to make stencils! I plan on using my machine for many more crafts in the future.

Greater than one weekSo this is my first cutting device (I use it for vinyl stickers) and it gets the job done. They have this simple tutorial project that gets you started and that teaches you the hardware and software basically. One issue I had was the cricut didn’t come calibrated so I had to run a calibration on it. I later moved the thing and the same thing happened. Maybe it’s about having a level surface??? Either way, calibrate once and then don’t move the thing. Otherwise you’r your cuts Won’t line up with the edges of the print.

> 3 dayI was obsessed with my Cricut! It was so helpful for personalizing items and making them look neat and pretty! Unfortunately, the power button lit up red less than a month after having/using it which is something that apparently happens sometimes and means that there is nothing you can do to fix it according to the Cricut helpline. Thankfully the helpline was great and they are providing me with a replacement with no hassle. A true bummer but I look forward to having one again and hope this one lasts more than a month.
