first time getting an NVMe form factor and did not realize they do not come with a stand screw. you will have to purchase the stand separately if you did not get your mobos provided one (if provided at all). also worth pointing out that this is the same speed as any other SSD, but the form factor is different. an m.2 NVMe is what youre looking for if expecting faster speeds.

Specs were as stated. Upgraded Dell laptop NVME 128gb to the Crucial P5 1tb worked perfectly. It does run hot though. Crystal Disk under load hit 75 C.... be aware. Didnt test the previous drive for temp. Couldve been similar. I would recommend a heat sink. Check clearances if in laptop. Extremely fast!

Revived my laptop from the slowness of an HDD. It is easy to add to the m.2 socket. Also, I installed W10 again via USB. And before installing this NVME I updated the bios to the latest version that appears on the ASUS webpage

I have installed the Crucial PD M.2 SSD in 2 machines. Before, I was booting from fast SSDs, however the speed after replacing with these is amazing. They are very easy to install, and going to Crucial website - you can get the free software to clone the original drive. They also have software to manage the M.2, which makes it faster and more efficient. Some sites say you need to set the M.2 up as an external, to clone the original - I did not. I installed the M.2 drive in its slot, booted the machines regularly, and downloaded then ran the software. It setup the partitions to the size I selected (larger than the original drive in one case). It formatted the partition, cloned the software, and made it bootable. When it was done, I removed the original SSD to save as a backup. I rebooted with the P5 M.2, downloaded the management software, checked everything, and it works. The boot time is not much better, because the original SSDs I had were very fast, anyway, and it is a function of the peripherals such as connecting to the network. But, the machines are now incredibly fast at all of the other operations with the P5 M.2 drives. The only problem - - is that the screws to hold down the M.2 is not included. In my cases - the screws were different sizes for my 2 machines. It took me way more time scrounging for the correct hold down screws than the rest of their installation. If you want to know if I would recommend this - I will say, if your machine has a M.2 drive slot, and youre not using it for a boot drive - YES!

Bought a new laptop and needed a larger NVMe M.2 PCIe SSD. This fit the bill. Crucial is made my Micron, one of, if not the best memory manufacturer out there. So no issues with quality here. This device is lighting quick and has tons of storage. One issue I had wasnt with the SSD itself but the software Crucial recommends--Acronis True Image. Got it for free because, hey, Crucial SSD. Welp, it did not recognize I had a Crucial SSD when it was either in a NVMe USB-C enclosure or in the laptop itself. I had to use different software to clone everything. Now its all done and things are great!

I probably should have known this, but there are no supporting screws to secure this drive to the motherboard. I had to scrounge around my garage to find the smallest screw possible. Not a very professional job, but it works.
