CTEK (56-304) Comfort Connect Extension Cable, 8.2 Feet

This was purchased in order to store a car in the garage during the winter. Performed flawlessly. Had zero issues for almost 4.5 continuous months. Used it in conjunction with the CTEK (56-158) MULTI US 3300 + the CTEK (56-263) Comfort Connect Cig Plug.

Just what I needed, purchased a CTEK 560352 to connect to the car battery, mounted the CTEK Battery Tender on the wall close to the AC outlet, and used the extension cord to connect the two. Made cable management a breeze, the added resistance load due to the longer cable was a concern but the Battery Tender so far has been able to cycle through its various charging/tender modes without any issues. Will keep an eye on the tender to see if the longer cable has any effects in regards to longevity.

A must have for any CTECK user! This is on my 68 GTO and I have it wired so the comfort connector stays on the battery terminals and comes out of the grill. All you need to do is route it away safely down and through the front grill. I have it secured in such a way I can easily disconnect my car from the wall charger unit and tuck the comfort connector away until I pull the car back in the garage. My only gripe is that this unit didn’t come with a rubber end cap. Easy fix though because I took the one off the wall charger unit. The car is going to see more of the elements than the charger in my garage so it only makes sense that the comfort connector would be capped off. All in all, one of the best investments for any classic car owner/collector. Thanks Jay(Leno) for putting me on to CTEK!

Why would CTEK allow the extension to be made from such low grade wire? This component demeans the CTEK line-for the sake of pennies. Imagine the behavior of cheap line in cold temps.

Installed this cable to hardwire my battery tender to my Jeep. I used the M10 eyelet connector and wired them together. I used the rubber protective cap to protect the end of the cable that was exposed to the elements.

I have few cars , 2 of them parked on the driveway and I had to use extension cord if I wanted to leave them on maintainer. This solves that issue. It makes the cord just long enough so I can directly plug it in under the hood.

The idea is great if the cable would keep working. It failed after minor use since purchased December 9 2020. I dont see anyway to get a replacement on my order page. Im not asking for a refund, Im asking for a warranty replacement for this extension cable. It will not work when used. The CTEK MXS 5.0 works fine when not connected to the extension cable otherwise it goes into a flashing green light which indicates no connection to the battery. Bad Extension Cable . I would give CTEK a good review if they would warranty their product but I see any way here on Amazon to get this cable replaced. Its only $12.00 but it should work longer than 2 months. Ben UPDATE CHANGED FROM 1 STAR TO 3: I added some CRC Technician Grade Dielectric Grease to the ends of the cable connections. It has been working fine now. Could it be that simple? Yes it could. I have used the CRC product many times on electronic connections with great success. Time will tell. Still a little disappointed that the cable failed in the first place. They need to review the end connectors and if necessary note the need for a dielectric grease if the cable fails. Back to one star. I know it has been a while but I really dont use this extension much. Over the past several months this product has been working on and off. It seems to have some sort of short or the connectors are becoming defective. I cant say this product is good.

My charger sits next to my car and theres times I need a 12 volt plug and I dont want to use my car battery. I have an RV battery being trickle charged so I just use this cord and it works great. Highly recomended.
