> 24 hourI did not realise that it would have a USA plug. As we reside in Aus, I assumed you would supply us with an Australian one.

> 24 hourAppears to not work when its really cold out. Only works periodically. One vehicle goes by and it goes off, the next vehicle it doesnt go off. Not impressed.

> 24 hourSince I live in the country I dont have access to wifi, this motion detector works wirelessly and works like a charm. It detects every vehicle driving in or out of my long drive, so I always know when I have a visitor. It was very easy to install, plus there are several different tones to choose from for your alerts. Would purchase again in a heartbeat.

> 24 hourI have had two other Dakota Alert driveway alarms over the years. They have worked well over the years. This new one only works intermittently. Several times cars drive past and are not detected. The alarm in the house is not loud enough. I cant hear it from some parts of the house. I have it on its loudest setting.

> 24 hourGreat product. We use this item to keep track of the vehicles that enter our driveway when we are in the back yard.

> 24 hourThis alarm doesn’t work. We can’t rely on it at all. We have installed it, taken it down, reinstalled, several times. I do not suggest buying this! By the time we put it up and tried getting it to work, it’s too late to return.

> 24 hourThe receiver unit is nice. I got the one with relay contacts so I can interface it with HomeSeer. Dakota should seriously consider adding or replacing a few of the alert tunes with something more useful. The problem is with the PIR motion detector. It sees deer and people almost always but seeing a moving vehicle is a crap shoot at best. I relocated it twice with no improvement. Lots of false alarms. So many that I took it off the tree mount and brought it inside the house. It would detect me walking around and would also get into a state where it went off repeatedly every couple minutes. I adjusted sensitivity and filtering a few times with no improvement. I contacted Tech Support and they were helpful but did not solve the problem. So… I replaced the detector with a Dakota probe type detector that gets buried next to the driveway and it seems to be 100% reliable with no false alarms. I relocated the original PIR motion detector to the outside of the house where it now sees persons approaching the side door. It is reliable detecting people..
