> 24 hourI bought this as an additional receiver. Had no trouble matching it along with the other receiver to the transmitter. Works as advertised.

> 24 hourIve owned 3 versions of the Dakota alerts ... these are fantastic motion sensors for around the outside of the house (my need). My only complaint: The alert tone (tunes) are really a joke. Come on already Dakota ... lets put something better on there as alerts ... not musical clips.

> 24 hourDakota continues to be the best choice in remote alarms. I have been using them for over 10 years. This new line of products is even better than before and the range is unbelievable. Match one or two base stations and a remote if needed. The entire system is easy to program and install. I highly recommend it and Im NOT getting compensated for this review.

> 24 hourI would like a better picture of jump locations. The product work very well! However, I found my unit will not annunciate a second Alarm transmitter condition within the 10 seconds actuation of the First. My first location is the entry of Driveway, the second is monitoring the garages doorway/apron. There are many mounting applications with this unit, Love the option of turning On/Off the Transmitter LED, feel, it should be a switch function versus selection pin. This unit is replacing my old 2500 system. As it was going on 10+ years in operation.

> 24 hourSetup and instructions were pretty easy. I initially bought this as an additional security measure because Ive had a car prowler a few times that was captured on my Arlo but didnt know they were around. The most shocking time when we were watching tv around 6:30pm and it was dark outside. With the other cars we have in the driveway, I had no idea until a neighbor stopped by and said he chased the person away. My driveway and gravel area is about 30 wide and with the monitor set at the 50 range, I have the entire area including part of my front yard covered. Its been an excellent little monitor for getting notifications when a car happens to pull in, or when a package is being delivered and were in another room. The IR beam is very narrow which is great because I was worried about it going off when someone is walking their dog or cars for that matter. Some people have mentioned a lot of false alarms but we havent had that... maybe a handful or so over the last 3 months (all in the day). I will say this, in the mornings or when a car is cold (mainly white cars) it fails to trigger, but I dont consider that a deal breaker. When I got the Dakota DCMA-4000, I did need to reach out to their support after about a week or so because after adjusting the dip switches and testing, I noticed the receiver was blinking but there was no audio. I reset it per the instructions and paired it again and same result. Support (which was really helpful btw) told me that since I bought on Amazon, they may have had an older product that had the faulty speaker because they got reports of the speaker not working. They mailed me out a new speaker and was able to unplug the old one and replace. Sure I could have returned/exchanged for a new device, but figured since I was within my return window, this was a quick fix and it did resolve my issue.

> 24 hourIt absolutely works with its own transmitter, but that is not the same as the transmitter of several years ago. Be sure you know what you are buying. It has enough blue lights to light up a barn. I opened it and blocked most of them, put a darkening filter on one. For hearing impaired, I think its a good design. But my house is becoming covered in blue lights, with this being the brightest. The sound control is good. This thing can be set LOUD if you need it, and can be turned down in a quiet setting. --Good equipment.

> 24 hourThe range is SUPERIOR in a heavy wooded area no problems with range at all, about 1200 feet from receiver. BRAVO on that. The only cons I have is the variety of chimes and sounds and the volume. At night I move the receiver to my bedroom so I will be sure to hear it should it go off. You can unplug it and not have to pair it again with the sensor. This will work for me. I have tried many different brand sensors and alarms and this is Top Shelf, the range is more than impressive, oh and they answer the phone when you call!!!!!!!!!!!!! BIG PLUS right there. Thank You Dakota Alert!!!
