I was on the lookout for an inexpensive, top-of-the-line projector for my basement. This projector fits the bill, it is not very pricey like the one which we have today Epson 730HD (600$). I kind of became allergic to any kind of pricey gadgets which become obsolete in a matter of few years, be it phones, laptops, or projectors. Any repair or replacement with those units is a kind of pain. Another big differentiator with this unit is it has a Wi-Fi connection which is a must for hanging it to the ceiling without wires. It easily connects to your Smartphones be it Apple or Android, there is no hassle of any wires or adapters here. I am kind of sold on these 2 points. Above all this unit has 8500 Lumens Brightness compare to 3000 Lumens with 730HD, 1920*1080P resolutions compare to 1280*720p on our Epson. I am pretty impressed with the color brightness and image clarity it produces compared to our expensive Epson unit. I am also impressed with the speakers on the unit, it boasts about built-in dual stereo speakers (5W) with an SRS sound system, which is completely non-existent on the Epson. I had to always connect the Epson to my external speakers without which we cannot watch any movie or a game. The sound quality on this unit is a bonus which I was not looking for. This unit gives a complete home-theater experience without a big dent in your pocket. I am yet to hang it to our ceiling in our basement, however, it won’t be a big issue, this unit is comparatively very compact and light-in-weight and shall go there without any hassles.

Sound ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Limited sound output options, but speakers are clear and loud for a projector of it’s class and adequate for a portable setup. Recommend using a sound-bar or other speakers for general use when possible. Using a Bluetooth adapter or streaming device such as Apple TV or something similar that is Bluetooth compatible is recommended both for sound and streaming purposes. Picture ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall picture quality and projection capability of 300 inches is fantastic for its class and price point! Contrast is greatHowever, where it lacks is the slightly limited ability to make adjustments to brightness and when using for gameplay or anything other than general movie/tv as well as generic functionality with other controls such as the keystone feature, menu and general operation. For optimal picture quality, a high quality white screen in a completely dark room will provide a fantastic viewing experience! If using outside or in a room without the ability to obtain complete darkness a Silver screen would be ideal for the best contrast and darkest blacks, this will slightly reduce brightness of vivid colors but most silver screens will give a gain of at least 1.3 helping to keep colors vivid and bright. Remote ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The remote design is good to great, but has a delay and sometimes seems to not send a signal to the projector. Overall Value ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ User friendly, quick setup for portable use, clear and crips picture and sound. Up to 300 inch projection, and great viewing angle. If you don’t mind spending the money on a high end projector, that would be recommend! But if you are seeking a great projector with a limited budget this is a great option and very well worth its price! If you’re new to this hobby this is projector is the perfect option! But do yourself a favor and spend some time researching screen gain, types of screens and what your best option is based on how dark or light your viewing area will be.

Works great for presentations.

I have an old projector with a VGA connection, that would be needing a bulb soon. The price of the bulb was so expensive I decided to look for a new more updated projector. I discovered the DBPower 1080. This projector displays awesome videos in low light as well as in complete darkness! Throws the picture a nice distance. The sound is great without adding additional audio, but additional audio-only enhances the sound. I love that I can connect to wi-fi, use my Roku. USB, plug in my portable DVD, cast from my phone. Its light enough for me to transport to class when needed. My 7-year-old granddaughter enjoys the fact that she can start and run it on her own with no problem. The price and quality cant be beat! I have shared with family members they were very impressed! They have requested Movie Nights at my house!

I bought this for outdoor movie nights for the kids. Went with this one for the brightness and color reviews. Its bright, and the colors look good. BUT THE AUDIO JACK IS USELESS. There is ONLY ONE WAY to connect audio to an external speaker, and thats through the 3.5mm headphones jack. The resulting audio level is far too low, even with the projectors volume at max, and the external speakers volume at max. I tried different cables, different speakers, I even had my friend whos a recording engineer for Audible take a whack at it. Its just completely underpowered and useless. DO NOT GET THIS PROJECTOR if you need audio along with the video. I tried going through technical support and they said it was probably a speck of dust blocking the signal. Even my engineer buddy had to laugh at that garbage answer. AGAIN -- stay far, far, far, far away from this projector. Completely useless without audio.

They projector arrived well packaged and was a snap to setup. I had previously owned and Yaber Y30 which had to be retired due to the unit pulling large amounts of dust into the lens inside the unit. The DBPOWER unit has a much better picture than my Yaber. I’ve seen criticism of the brightness of the picture, but I do not agree. The remote is very easy to use and setup is a breeze. I highly recommend the unit for the price and quality.

Were using the projector for backyard movies and video games. We were using a small battery powered projector that was OK but it had to be very dark in order to get a nice picture. We purchased this projector because of the excellent lumens specification. It’s a huge difference since we can start using the projector much earlier in the evening which we really enjoy. We now have an awesome picture on our 100” screen that I’m sure we will get a lot of use out of.

I ordered the 780p 3,000L projector by mistake, so sent that back and ordered the 1080p 8,500L projector. We spent the night outside binge-watching SKY Castle (a Korean drama) on our new 150 screen. The neighbors took notice to it, and came over and watched SKY Castle with us. It certainly got the attention, and I think that people who see the clarity on the screen is envious...and may be ordering their own setup!!!

Its great at night. During the day you need very dark to get good quality but you can still see crystal clear images with this with a lamp on ... Super durable sound excellent. I do recommend getting a speaker system or something to make it more effective for surround sound. But the picture quality is off the charts good even on a white background. You dont need any screens its perfect and lots of sizing and adjust ment features. The best is the easy turn lense focus where you focus the machine like you would a pro camera on manual. You rotate the black covering from a side spot next to the lense super easy. The only thing unless the sun is Down down its hard to see the picture you need it dark. Thats my only draw back no TV during the day

This is my second DB power projector. Although my first one was an older and cheaper model, it worked great for what I wanted to use it for which is backyard movies. This one has more lumens than my first one and has a sharper picture. I still feel like its best used in dark rooms or if you dont have a lot of lighting outside at night. It takes a while for the remote to function properly. I was holding buttons down for a long time. Other than that, Im pleased with the product and the backpack to carry it on trips is nice too!
