> 3 dayWere using the projector for backyard movies and video games. We were using a small battery powered projector that was OK but it had to be very dark in order to get a nice picture. We purchased this projector because of the excellent lumens specification. It’s a huge difference since we can start using the projector much earlier in the evening which we really enjoy. We now have an awesome picture on our 100” screen that I’m sure we will get a lot of use out of.

> 3 dayI started with a cheaper projector, but I was disappointed with the picture and the noise. And also with the lack of inputs to connect to home theater system. After researching, I settled on this DBPower projector. And it was an excellent choice. You could spend a lot more money on a projector, but Im not sure what more you would get out of it. Or want. This projector has it all. It has a bright screen, its doesnt have the noise of a cheap unit, it has two HDMI inputs along with other inputs. I like the picture best with the saturation level set to about 90. Rich colors, and still a sharp, clear picture. Also very happy with their customer service. When you call, they pick right up and theyre very polite and very helpful. Im a real dude in Lexington, Ky. Not a fake review. DBPower deserves praise for this unit and for their service. Love this projector.

> 3 dayThe picture is very good. Not great but for the money…good. The fan is loud though. If using in a media room you can definitely hear it and it takes away from the experience.

Greater than one weekAs the headline says, this is nowhere close to 9,500lumens. Any claims to the contrary are simply an outright lie. I picked this up for a room with a lot of ambient light, knowing that the brightness claim was going to be a lie, but figured it was worth a shot, especially with a free return through Prime. After getting everything set up I would say it is almost as bright as my 5y/o Epson ex5220 which was rated at 3,000lumens when it was new and probably has 500hrs on the bulb at this point. I knew an 9,500lumen projector for under $300 was too good to be true and it is. If you can get over the misleading brightness claims; overall its a decent cheap projector. The streaming from a device is glitchy, but they all are all. As mentioned in other reviews it has a HDCP, which means youre not going to be able to stream from a service, like Netflix or Disney+ which makes it pretty useless for everything but a presentation. The 4point keystone adjustment is nice, and everything else is tidy and works as expected. If I hadnt been buying it specifically for its brightness Id probably keep it, but cant handle such misleading claims, especially when they are so comically overstated like this one. If youre buying for the brightness stay far, far away, if you need a middle of the road cheap projector this will probably suffice.

> 3 dayThe bad: - Not very bright ( close to 1,000 lumens), which, as expected, is nowhere near the imaginary 8,000+ in the listing. This projector is really for a completely dark room. The good: - Fan is relatively quiet - Decent picture out of the box - Fast start - Digital zoom - Decent interface although you should expect some jumpiness when streaming from your phone This is actually a decent projector in terms of features. It just wasn’t bright enough for us (returned it). We ended up buying a 3,000 lumen cheapie from Best Buy. The difference in brightness isn’t even close.

> 3 dayIve now been using this projector in my living room as my main television for more than 1 year. I primarily watch it using my Roku Streaming Stick, but occasionally use the screen cast feature on my android smartphone. On average, I probably watch TV around 15-21 hours per week, and it seems to have held up very well. I have it mounted on the ceiling in my living room above the coffee table at a distance that yields around a 120 screen. Recently, some faint lines started showing up on the projected image after its been used for around 30 minutes or so. Aside from the faint lines, I have to say that this projector held up pretty, considering the abusing Ive put it through, having watched it consistently for at least 1200-1400 hours in the last 54 weeks or so. (If it werent for the lines showing up, Id have given it 5 stars). The brightness is strong enough for me to watch during the day, although its obviously a little washed out in the brightest light of the sun. The audio quality is okay - its loud enough for indoor use, such that I cant turn the volume past 20-50, depending on the source medium, but outdoors, its not very good. I tried watching this outside in my mothers backyard last summer and we couldnt hear anything clearly. You have options with soundbars or HDMI audio splitters that can redirect the audio to external devices, but that might be a bit too much effort/cost just to watch a movie outdoors and hear it clearly, depending on your circumstances. Overall, its a good product, a great starter / budget-friendly projector, and excellent for an affordable home theater.

> 3 dayI would have been thrilled if it was a 4K video projector of equivalent quality and same price but we aren’t living in the year 2025 yet so this is a fair compromise. The unit I received performed exactly according to the specifications listed. I found that I was in fact able to project movies onto my vaulted livingroom ceiling using this unit, which was something I’ve secretly wanted for over 25 years. I may take this on the road for use in a group presentation soon. I think it will work well for that.

> 3 dayThis lense is bright enough for a descent picture in the day time and very vivid and crisp at night. Great picture quality and sound. The setup is so easy and quick and the overall fan sound is quieter than most other products. This projector even comes with a travel case and is a nice portable size

> 3 dayUpdated July 9, 2021: Tech support saw my original review and proactively contacted me to upgrade their projector SW/Firmware. The upgrade fixed both the Aux-out volume (now we have cinema sound) and IOS mirror issue. I have adjusted the product rating accordingly. Now its a great projector which i would recommend you purchase/try. Thanks again to tech-support for helping me out. Original Review: Indoor video and sound is very good to excellent. Will test outdoors later and adjust rating as needed. Knocked off 1 star because IOS Mirroring did not work for me. Knocked off 2nd star because AuxOut to speaker lowered the external speaker volume. It does not seem to have enough juice from Aux out for the 2 different speakers I tried which eliminates cinema experience potential.

> 3 dayThis projector is amazing for the price. We used this for a movie theater in our basement and it is perfect for this purpose. While you can see it clearly in the light it is not the brightest projector out there and is definitely better in low lighting. The sound from the speaker is adequate but not stellar. If you are looking for theater sound I would recommend getting a sound system to go with it. If you are just enjoying family movie nights I would say the speaker would be fine. The clarity is excellent and the keystone correction is very easy. As O ceiling mounted the projector it was great to have the inverted view option as well. Overall I would highly recommend this projector and it is a phenomenal value for the price.
