> 3 dayWith the price being so low I didn’t think it would work well, but I gave it a shot. The first one I got didn’t work at all. The motor just ran but collected no water. I asked for a replacement and a day after setting it up the chamber was pretty full. I do plan on purchasing 2 more to go around the house. I don’t hear the motor in my room at all. It is very very quiet to me.

Greater than one weekUPDATE: Year 2 still going strong hand keeping my crawl space dry! I had encapsulated my crawl space, but I didn’t want to install a large dehumidifier. My cabin is just 320 sq ft; so, I figured that a room dehumidifier would be sufficient. I had doubts that it would work because crawl spaces can get pretty humid during summer. But boy, was I pleasantly surprised! This little dehumidifier is super efficient, but most importantly it is TOUGH! It helped keep the crawl space dry, even on super humid days . The wood from the floor joists were BONE DRY! Because of this, there is absolutely no mildewy smell in my crawl space. I bought a second one just in case this one would give out, but, no, it kept going strong without a problem, 24 HOURS PER DAY, day after day. I just couldn’t believe how strong and efficient this little dehumidifier was. Just to note, like with everything else, it has to be cared for. But maintenance is super easy, just common sense: keep the reservoir clean and check the vents for dust and debris (since in my case it’s in the crawl space). I am very happy with this product! I absolutely love it! Worth every penny!

Greater than one weekUpdate! It did take a few attempts and a negative review from me but customer support reached out to me via email and sent a new unit as it was still under warranty. Nancy was very friendly and asked for screenshots of the emails I sent so they could troubleshoot, hopefully that area improves as the product itself is excellent. It worked very well for us and I will likely order a second unit now that the warranty issue and lack of communication has been resolved in this situation. If you are looking for exceptional customer service then I would choose another product. I purchased this product last November, it comes with a year warranty, it suddenly stopped working in October of this year. I have reached out to customer service weekly since it stopped working to inquire on a reset or possible replacement. I have not received any communication back at all which is frustrating and the only way I have found to contact is by an email directly linked on their Amazon page. Overall the product worked well until it suddenly quit and if customer service had reached back out to any of my attempts to email then I wouldn’t have left a negative review but seeing as they have not provided any communication at all it would appear that they don’t honor their warranty so if customer service and warranties are important to yuh then I would keep scrolling for a different product.

> 3 dayHonestly, I do not have anything to compare this to. BUT! I can say it works really well. It does exactly what it says. Except it’s not quiet. The first few times you can barely hear it and then it gets louder and louder. It would be ridiculous to compare it to the noise of a swamp cooler, but since I have both, it’s ALMOST as overwhelming. I do have a small house which means I’m “close” to it basically anywhere I sit. If you have a larger home, maybe the sound will drift into the background nicely. Who knows. Also, the power button seems to be more of a suggestion? I try to turn it off constantly (when I can’t take the noise anymore) and it just doesn’t shut up. When I finally do get it to turn off, the fan continues running. After about 5 minutes, I get frustrated and just unplug it. (Of course this could be specific to mine) I’m giving it a 5 star because this thing pulls water out of your house at quite a high rate. I’m constantly emptying the basin. It’s insane! And I enjoy the very soft “full” chime. The design is beautiful, the castors are super nice and it does it’s job without complications. Set it and forget it. I do recommend this! The rate it pulls water out is worth every penny. I do recommend this particular one for larger homes and I wouldn’t suggest it being in a bedroom (noise) but hey! If you’re humidity is too high, this is your answer.

Greater than one weekVery quiet operation and easy to set up and empty the water tray. I was suspicious the upstairs bedroom I placed the unit in was too humid - after using the dehumidifier in the room for one night, it confirmed my suspicions! I took one star for the lighting - the power button stays lit green when the unit is on and flashes when the water tray is full. Thats great but the light from the button is very strong at night and keeps the room lit up too bright. Theres no way to cover it. But its a small price to trade for keeping the room comfortable. I may purchase another one for the office!

> 3 dayThe humidifier is pretty tiny. I still use it to remove moisture from the air but it’s truly meant for maybe a bathroom or a closet. It’s entirely too small to make a big enough difference for your average bedroom. It’s super quiet. :)

> 3 dayI have an office room in our basement and this works perfectly for it! Absolutely love how small it is. It will probably take about a week to fill the reservoir with water

> 3 dayThe product worked great for three months. Two days ago, the water tank was a little difficult to remove. After emptying, the tank was replaced. A day later, water dripped onto the table. The unit pulled water out of the air, but 1) it was not going directly into the tank and 2) the tank could not be opened for water removal. Without tipping the unit completely upside down, as much of the water was poured out and the unit sat overnight on the counter. The next morning the tank could easily be removed and replaced. It was plugged back on for another 24 hours. The unit pulled water out, but he amount was less than usual. The tank was, again, difficult to pull out, but was gently pulled out. The discovery: the tank could not be removed due to ice on the coils. The temperature of the room was 56 degrees, too cold for a dehumidifier to work. When the temperature was above 58 degrees, the unit worked great. Gave a 4-star rating (not 5) because this is a rating for 3 months use. However, based on this, I recommend this SEAVON Dehumidifier for the price around $35 over purchasing the moisture absorbing crystals (which I also use.) You do, however, have to empty the tank. (It supposedly has an automatic shut-off, but I did not let it get that filled, so it cant be commented upon.)
