So far this monitor has meet all my expectations. Right out of the box it hooked up to my gaming PC and went to town. Didnt have to make hardly any adjustments although its easy enough to check the on screen menu and move around with the little toggle button on the back of the monitor. Im running at 144Mhz with G-Sync enabled through another Dell monitor that wasnt supposed to support G-Sync, but it does for a fact. I dont use the speakers on the monitor although I think it does have some. The up and down adjustments are pretty easy and putting in cables at the back bottom was pretty easy. Just remember this is a large, wide monitor so youll need help laying it down to plug it in. Also, depending on what youre coming from, youre going to need new wallpaper for this huge screen. I would definitely buy it again!

I almost returned this monitor, as the picture quality was garbage when gaming, with significant blurring and color bleed/smearing with any kind of motion at all. It took me a while to realize that this monitors response time just isnt good and doesnt work well with Freesync. So, I enabled MPRT for the response time, which automatically disabled Freesync (as it should), and all those above problems went away. With my current GPU I get 85-100fps running with the 144Hz refresh rate, and dont experience any screen tearing at all, and with MPRT enabled its a very smooth experience. Id expect with my upgraded GPU (on order) that Ill get near 144fps to match the refresh rate and it will improve all that much more. I dont know if this experience was specific to me and my build, but just sharing my experience for any out there struggling with the advertised quality of this monitor.

While this monitor is certified FreeSync Premium Pro, if you set it up using the included cables and Dell monitor drivers youll notice that anytime the refresh rate adjusts while gaming intense flickering will occur. After some investigating I found a fix and it is: 1. Purchase an upgraded VESA certified display port 1.4 cable. It seems not all display port 1.4 cables are created equal and since 1440p at 144 hz is near the cables maximum bandwidth, any deviation in quality can result in poor performance and cause flickering. 2. Dont install the drivers supplied by Dell for the monitor, for some reason they mess things up. Instead, just install your AMD video card drivers and the Radeon control center. Also, use the Windows Generic PnP monitor driver thats enabled by default. I think doing so disables HDR, but its a small price to pay in my opinion. Of course, being a VA display its still susceptible to flickering on game menus, loading screens and when framerates drop really low (like 60-70 fps). I also notice flickering on any game that caps the framerate at 60 fps and doesnt let you change it (such as Sim City). But the vast majority of gameplay is flawless (for instance Call of Duty Coldwar with framerates constantly adjusting between 115 - 135 fps). And if you do encounter a game that has lots of flickering (which is unlikely with first person shooters and any other games optimized for high end graphics cards) you can easily disable FreeSync through the Radeon Control center at the touch of a button. Finally, just a note to add, I am using a RX 6900 XT.

This is a really great monitor. I picked it up on a Black Friday sale for ~$200. Because it was so cheap, I honestly didnt realize it was going to be so big! (which is not a complaint, the measurements are right in the title). I was replacing a small tv monitor that i had been using for work & gaming. This is a huge upgrade. Pros: - its not a weird widescreen resolution, so websites dont get stretched oddly - the stand allows for a lot of control on height and tilt, right out of the box. - Really good clarity and color balance without much adjustment - a simple cable management hole in the stand made all the difference in keeping my desk neat with a wired keyboard + webcam. Really a nice touch. Cons - It is VERY heavy once set up. It can be difficult to adjust on a desk because of that. If you have noodle arms like me, a second person might be helpful to have around if you need to pick it up and move it off the floor.

The Dell S2722DGM is a very good monitor, especially if your main purpose is gaming and of course if you have a modern day graphics card. There are a lot of positive talking points to discuss about this Dell curved monitor and some minor negatives or miss steps on their part, but before that a quick few words about the packing and presentation of the monitor. The monitor comes from Amazon in its original retail box, which is an issue, because it is not double boxed and not extra protected, its prone to sustain some major damages during transportation, and that is exactly what happened to the first unit that was delivered to my house, upon inspection, the monitor screen was completely shattered inside, luckily Amazon was super fast to replace it and the second one came intact. Dells retail box is well designed with some images of the product inside and some of the most important features and specs outlined as well, unfortunately the packing insulation inside is not the best, the monitor is only separated with recycled cardboard and there is almost no foam protection. On the top side of the cardboard, there are the power cable, HDMI cable and the DVI cable, in addition to a small user manual and a warranty card. Inside and sandwiched between the two cardboard isolators is the monitor, the base of the stand and the monitor stand. Positives: - Great screen resolution and refresh rate - 2560x1440 is currently my favorite screen resolution for gaming, this partnered with 165Mhz refresh rate and 1-2 milliseconds response time, is a recipe for a good gaming experience. - AMD FreeSync, but most of all nVidia G-Sync technologies on board - FreeSync is great, but I was very pleasantly surprised to see that nVidia G-Sync was available as well! G-Sync was not mentioned anywhere, not on the box and not on the Amazon page, but G-Sync is on and working, attaching some screenshots from my GPU control panel. - Display port 1.2 and HDMI 2.0x2, 3.5mm headphone jack on board - great options for input, with the DP 1.2 you can use the max 165Hz and with the HDMI 2.0 the max is 120Hz. I would recommend to everyone to use the DP cable and port as you will be enjoying the maximum potential of this monitor. - Cables included - a lot of monitors are being sold without the DP or HDMI cable in the box, and this one is providing both. - Matte screen - no glare, no reflections on the screen, the picture is clear and crisp. - 99% Srgb and 350 nits of brightness - making this monitor not only good for gaming but for content creation as well. - High quality metal base and monitor stand - although I am using a dual monitor arm on my desk and I am not using the monitor stand that comes in the package, that stand is actually pretty good with a sturdy solid base and numerous adjustment positions. - Narrow side bezels, making the picture even more immersive and the monitor more compact. - Some good and useful options on board - Timer, FPS Counter and Dark Stabilizer, plus switching between the different panel speeds directly from the menu as well. - No RGB on this monitor - thank Dell, there is just a single small blue led light throwing light downwards under the monitor over your desk, nothing too distracting. Negatives: - Its still a VA panel - No IPS or anything better as a technology, so there are some picture compromises, but still better than TN panels. - Curved - now I am not still sold on the curved as a benefit, I would probably love those specs to come in a regular flat panel, but that is just me, some people might love the curved panel. - 2ms response time, if you want to benefit from G-Sync and FreeSync, if you set it to 1ms response time, those technologies become unavailable. - No HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 on board - A bit heavy as the power delivery is built into the monitor and is not on a separate power source. - Somewhat expensive - at $300, and considering the VA tech, I think that Dell is pushing it too much, at $250 this monitor would have been easily recommendable and more competitive. Overall, I like this monitor so far, it was a good step up from my previous 1080P 144Hz monitor, I can definitely see the difference in the GPU performance finally.

It’s good - not super precision or high high def. But for the money !!

The monitor has been performed well. The problem is that 1920x1080 is not high enough resolution. I can see where pixels look blocky versus seamless. Over time your eyes adjust and you dont notice as much, but it was very frustrating going from high resolution to low resolution just because the monitor is larger. My 27 had higher resolution. Frustrating enough that after six months I will be buying a different monitor.

This is my 1st 1440p monitor and I love it! I will never go back to 1080p. This monitor looks amazing especially when playing games like dirt 5 and watching shows like Our Planet. The 350 nits brightness really makes the colors pop and there is a 3000:1 contrast ratio that also looks amazing. The 165 hz refresh rate makes for buttery smooth motion and the ghosting is minimal.
