> 3 dayPurchased this as a gift for my nephew. Sometimes when I get him a gift he remembers to thank me weeks later and its usually a rather quiet, Thanks. However this time he enthusiastically thanked me quickly and told me how he had used the light just that morning for a project he was working on. Hes a superb carpenter so I was surprised he didnt have a light similar to this already to help him work.

> 3 dayThis device only has 2 light settings. The first is a VERY bright white cast. The second is a dim red cast. It would be nice if it had a second white light level that was not as bright. I purchased this product to use it in case of emergencies, like when power goes out, or finding the dog at night outside. A dimmer switch or lower light setting would permit you to keep the light on longer in the event of a power outage, so that you could have enough light to do things in your house at night. The bright white setting is VERY bright. It easily throws light 150 feet into my backyard, and trees a football field away are well lit. Very happy with the brightness, but it should have a dimmer on the next model. It seems well built, and has a similar casing to their other devices that use 20 volt. I bought this light because I have some of the 20v lineup. The tool is very light. I wouldnt doubt the battery weighs more than the device itself. The adjustable head tilts easily but stays well in place wherever you set it. Nice hook on the neck of it, for easy hanging.

> 3 dayI generally use the DCL043 as a work light when doing various household handyman-type work. The multiple ways it can be positioned (adjustable head angle, hanging loop, standing vertically, etc.) without having to rig something up is awesome. I also tested it by pointing it towards the ceiling in a completely dark room, and found that it can act as general purpose lighting for the room during a night time power outage.

> 3 dayThis thing is bright, ill give it that. But the joint for the rotating head seems loose and the overall product weight makes it feel cheap.

Greater than one weekif you own other dewalt tools that use the same battery, you are foolish if you dont own this spot light as well. The only negative about it is that I wish it could be toned down to make a passable flood light. But if you want to spot something WAAYYYYY out there, this is your light!

> 3 dayThe light has a flat stable base that keeps it from getting knocked over. Swivel head makes it easy to us hands free. I have used this to light up the back yard, work on cars and general handy work around the house. It is nice and bright and have used for at least three hours continuously.
