> 3 dayThis is a great flashlight! Whether you are using it to work inside with, like in an attic or an electrical box or service panel or a crawl space, it is a very good helper! I recently went outside at night and grabbed this light to use because it was handier than any other one that I have. I was amazed at the brightness and the spotlight of it. I decided to buy another one to keep in my pickup truck. I thought it would be better than the regular flashlight I have had in my truck for several years. This one will stand up on its own, is adjustable, and would be a big help when changing a tire at night. It is easier to hold and brighter than a regular flashlight. I highly recommend!

> 3 dayWhen holding this light, it has the feel of a very lightweight DeWalt drill. In other words, it is comfortable and familiar for those who use DeWalt drills. - As compared to handheld flashlights, the light from this work light is very bright. Note that the beam is much more narrowly focused than a flood light but not nearly as focused as something like a laser beam. It is a spotlight that functions like a search light. I use it to look for coyotes in the woods behind our house before letting our dog out. It is easy to handle and very effective at lighting up the area I am searching from a far distance. - Battery life depends upon the capacity of the battery. A 5A-h battery is going to last much longer than a 2A-h battery.

Greater than one weekThis beats buying a $300 set of tools just to get the flashlight. Way to go, Amazon.

> 3 dayAnd I love that it goes with the dewalt battery that we already have! We bought this for camping be sude we didn’t have a flashlight and wanted something versatile. I think this is going to be great for camping but also around the house, workshop, power outage, etc!

> 3 dayI had the 18 Volt light before. I prefer this one for a couple of reasons. First off, I have a 20 Volt drill and an 18 Volt dewalt drill. I got to the point where I was never using the 18 Volt drill and therefore quit charging the batteries. My drill was quite a few years old so the electrons basically quit moving and died. A charge would give me about 10 minutes of light. However, I use the 20 Volt drill all the time and was very pleased with the amount of light that this puts out. Also, I have dealt with dewalt on the service side before. They were super nice and basically reconditioned drill because the gears were getting nearly impossible to change from drill, hammer, and screwdriver. They fixed it without a charge and the service was great. I am to the point that I will only buy Milwaukee or dewalt products. This light was used about three times in my screen porch at night while doing a project. I have been quite pleased with the light! A+++

> 3 dayThe DCL043 is my latest purchase. Contrary to what the product description states this model DCL043 did not have a red LED night vision friendly output. I think at one time it was available with the red LED but no longer. This is my third DeWalt LED light. They all have their own strong points. The DCL050 is a work horse when working on the car of in a dimly lighted room (closet). The DCL040 is a light weight spotlight best used in large garages or close range outside. The DCL043 is just way too bright for inside work even on the low setting. Best used in wide open spaces. There are 2 settings on the DCL043 and the second setting is brighter than the DCL040. All in all I am satisfied with all three.
