> 3 dayAurora Cabin was given to me as a gift. I am very pleased with how this project turned out, though it took me a little over a year to finish it, but it was well worth the effort. I ran out of the blending filament, but that was my fault. I had never used blending filament before, and it took me a little to figure out how to use it. I discovered it was best to use short strands, because it frays quite easily. I was able to find an exact match for that filament at our local craft store. The kit did include plenty of the other floss colors but I did need extra needles. One of the required floss colors was not listed on the key chart but I was able to figure out which color it was. I contacted the manufacture to verify that, and they replied quickly. I used a combination of 1/4 and 3/4 cross stitches along the roof line of the cabin, that were not called for in the instructions. I thought it gave the roof line more of a straight edge, but that was just me opinion, and that was the only thing I changed. I had it professionally framed, and have receive a lot of positive comments about it. I would recommend this highly, and really have nothing negative to say about it.

16-11-2024I thoroughly enjoyed this kit. It did take me about 8 months to completely finish it, but I really enjoyed every step and it turned out beautifully. Its a lot of fun, but definitely not for beginners. You will need to count and measure carefully, as there are some very complicated patterns with the colors. It definitely takes an eye for detail and it takes patience! But with those skills, you will really enjoy this kit! There is far more than enough thread to complete, and you will have plenty left over. I think there was only one color I feared I might run out of. The only issue I had was that I needed to buy my own needles. Parts of this kit require that you thread 4 threads through 1 needle, which was definitely next to impossible with the needles provided (even with a threader). I broke the needles that came with the kit, but luckily had some more on hand. I also bought some extra needles to use just with the 4-thread portions. All that said, I had a great time creating this piece, and it came out just as I expected. I cant wait to have it framed and display it. Highly recommended!

> 3 dayI ordered this product so that I would have something to do of an evening that would keep my hands busy. This was perfect! I had never done any needlepoint before, and on opening the package it was a little intimidating with all the thread. I perservered, however, and am just waiting for the needlepoint to dry after blocking it (it did become warped because of the stitching, but easily stretched back into shape with damp blocking - the threads are colourfast) before I can frame it and hang it on the wall! There was plenty of thread for the entire project, which actually has finished dimensions of 11x14 inches, not 12x16 as it states in the description. The canvas is printed in full colour which is great. It took about 2 months to finish, doing about 2-3 hours a night. But it was truly a labour of love, and I cant wait to show it off to people when they come to the house! I highly recommend this product, and will definitely be ordering more of these needlepoints. The only problem is which one to choose!

> 3 dayHave been working on this since January 2016. Going a lot fast than I figured. Really easy to follow instructions and everything was there. Almost half way done and it seems like there will be extra thread to put aside in case it is needed. Seller shipped real quick to, I got it in under two days! I used my free Amazon prime shipping and about 30 hours after I ordered I had it. Was awesome! Thank you for ou!

> 3 dayYou will need a very sturdy wooden frame to keep the canvas tight while you work it as it is stiff canvas.

> 3 dayThis turned out beautifully. I am working on having it framed now so next Christmas it can hang in my home. I wanted to give it as a gift but since Ive been working on it (on and off) since July, I feel like Ive invested too much of my life into it to see it go. LOL I would never suggest this to a first-time cross-stitcher. Im very experienced and this frustrated me at times and was the largest and longest project Ive ever done -- but I love it. I did run out of thread and it was difficult finding local colors that matched perfectly. For one of the dusky blue colors, I had to combine three shades to get a match. The red/orange and green that I ran out of were easy to match locally, despite the fact they used a different code. Note: if you are running low on a color, keep some back to take into the store. I didnt realize I was out of two of them until I was out, and I had to take my whole project into the craft store to match them. Luckily, craft people totally get it, weve all been there. ;)
