Dove Refillable Deodorant Starter Kit 0% Aluminum Cucumber & Green Tea Aluminum Free Deodorant 1.13 oz

I bought this thinking it would be great for travel. When I used it the deodorant broke off of the holder and fell on the floor. There was no way to secure it back into the holder so I held the broken nub with my fingers to apply the deodorant. My fingers got all slimy and slippery from holding the deodorant nub. Then to top it off, the deodorant doesnt even work. I may as well have applied body lotion under my arms for all the good this deodorant did. I thought it was supposed to last 48 hours. It didnt even last 2 hours. When I got back from Hawaii I had to hand wash my clothing to get the BO smell out. I really liked Dove products until now. What a waste!

Yes its small, compact and takes up less room wherever its stored, however, because it doesnt have any structural support around the block of deodorant that Im accustomed to, the deodorant bar broke off of its foundation. I cant get it to adhere to its base anymore. Ill just go back to using the old reliable twist up style. This is a No for me.

I was excited to find this refillable Dove container. The scent is terrific, and I like the aluminum-free formula of the antiperspirant itself. I also like the minimalization of waste. The only downside (and its a pretty significant one) is that the actual stick deodorant breaks off at the base. There isnt a sleeve for the stick to fit in and use as a guide and a sort of walled reinforcement. A bit of a design flaw, I would say. The stick just breaks off and I have to hold the antiperspirant with my hand to apply it. I will use up the two refills I bought with my initial order, and will likely go back to the traditional roll up stick style when this runs out.

I was so happy to see this new design and bought it right away. However, there is a design flaw that needs to be fixed because the deodorant stick broke off from the base upon pressure, rendering it useless. I hope they can fix this, because it is a fantastic idea.

I thought this product would be great save on excess packaging, contains no aluminum and that Dove beautiful scent. I used it everyday for 1 week it glides on no pulling, to my surprise it was held in place by tabs made of product and in wound up on my countertop broken. I hope I can get this product again once they fix that defect.

The deodorant was fine. But the container was horrible. This was bought for traveling. Wont work because the lid wont stay on. I threw it away and will buy the regular

UPDATE: (please see original review below) I am decreasing Tony rating to 1 star, and would honestly give it 0 stars if that was possible. I have been using this product for a few weeks now and have started to get a rash. I have NEVER experienced that before. It is so frustrating because I still love the scent and creaminess. I LOVE the scent, the creaminess, and the long lasting odor resistance. However, I gave this product 2 stars because after two weeks of use, the deodorant stick fell out of the base. All of the deodorant is exposed from the first time you attach the deodorant stick to the base and you can’t do anything to reenforce the connection between the deodorant stick and the base.

Loved the refillable factor; not so much the metal base, not sure how that would be for getting through airport security. Seemed to work well to replace the Adidas product I have used for years. Issue is that it broke off during my second day of use. Not a fan of it hitting the floor or having to use my fingers. So basically wasted my money

Love the scent, formula, sleek metal container… product execution failed miserably. There is no option to roll product up and down with every use so by the second or third use, the whole product breaks off from its base. Hopefully they come up with a fix because it really is a great formula and idea!

In my opinion, it doesnt smell great but thats ok, can try another scent. However, the deodorant itself needs to be attached better - the entire block fell off the 2nd time I used it. Cute design but function is more important than form.
