Dove Refillable Deodorant Starter Kit 0% Aluminum Cucumber & Green Tea Aluminum Free Deodorant 1.13 oz

Great idea, terrible execution! This deodorant is supposed to be refillable, but the design is flawed. You attach a heavy and small brick of deodorant to a hollow base so its top heavy. Unlike a traditional deodorant that you roll up, all of the deodorant is exposed. The deodorant broke off the dispenser on my second use. It also felt like I got a lot less deodorant than a traditional dove cool and fresh dispenser. A lot better design before Ill consider buying again.

The dispenser kept opening and then the deodorant came off the base. Good idea but poorly designed.

I like the scent , I like the feel of the deodorant, I love Dove! But this product is a dud . I bought 3 of the kits and gave 2 of them as Christmas presents to my sisters. I kept 1 for myself and I’m not happy with it . The deodorant stick broke in just 2 weeks after use . I complained to customer service and they replaced the stick with 2 , both of which also broke. I bought another kit at a reduced rate , thank goodness , and I’m going to see if perhaps I just got a defective base . More later .

Why did I waste my money ? Does not stay attached broke off as I opened it the first time. You people actually thought this would be okay with anyone? Why can’t you just make a travel size with no aluminum? Hard to believe they got away with selling this, Dove must need a whole new administrative staff.

Deodorant broke off the first time I used it. Sadly I couldn’t restore it and had to toss it.

I used the deodorant for 2 days and it broke off and I couldn’t use it. It needs something to put in the middle to be stronger. I did write the company to explained what happened. I understand that it’s new and needs to be upgraded.

Yes its small, compact and takes up less room wherever its stored, however, because it doesnt have any structural support around the block of deodorant that Im accustomed to, the deodorant bar broke off of its foundation. I cant get it to adhere to its base anymore. Ill just go back to using the old reliable twist up style. This is a No for me.

BOTTOM LINE: The quality of the deodorant is very good & I will continue to use it. Ive been using this daily for a few weeks and Ive traveled with it. Because it sits on top of the base, you get the feeling of having to put it on gently, otherwise itll break. So I use it only from the top. When you put it on, its really smooth. The fragrances are nice and really lasts. The lid comes off fairly easy, which can be annoying. This is truly a travel size deodorant. About half the size of a passport. I recommend a toiletry bag when traveling. It needs a magnetic close or slightly stronger clicking system for closing.

Bought this for a recent trip. The base is heavy. Like the idea of not using as much plastic. Like the idea this is refillable. However, the top does not stay on very well, creating a mess. If they can rectify that important issue, this is a winning product.
