Unfortunately it just completely broke off the base after 2x using. It does smell good but hoping this is just a 1 time thing. I ordered another.

I took this with me on a short trip. I noticed how there wasnt any protection along the shaft of the refill, so I was very careful and used very little pressure. It still snapped off, broke, and fell to the ground the very first time I used it. It kept falling every time Id try to apply deodorant until the shape could no longer be wedged into the base disk. I had to just smear it all over my underarms. I threw it away as soon as I was ready to check out of my hotel. What a waste. I use this deodorant regularly and it performs well, and the original packaging is perfect! This travel/refill nonsense just needs to be discontinued immediately.

*This is a review retraction update. Product proved to be defective after a weeks use. Previous reviews are correct that the stick breaks with too much pressure. Fact is not much pressure is needed at all to fracture the contents. Not worth the money.* I’ve used aluminum free deod for a while now so I’m used to the difference between aluminum and aluminum free. A lot of comments stating ppl didn’t think this item was great because they still sweat. You have to convert to aluminum free over a cpl of months. Your body requires a period of adjustment. This deod is very well made and works well in my opinion. I live a very active lifestyle and run around a lot. I’m not having an issues with this deod not working. It holds up very well. Smells is subtle & nice. Packaging is modern and well weighted. Haven’t had an issue of the stick breaking off like others said though. I wouldn’t man handle it but it’s sturdy. The lack of continuous plastic disposable packaging is nice. I’ll be placing this item on a subscription so long as it’s available on Amazon. Moisturizing and pleasant deod.

I love the scent. I like the concept. But I used the product for 4 days, and the deodorant fell off the base of the replacement cartridge. I think Ill buy one more refill, and give it one more chance. But as of right now, Im not happy.

I like the scent , I like the feel of the deodorant, I love Dove! But this product is a dud . I bought 3 of the kits and gave 2 of them as Christmas presents to my sisters. I kept 1 for myself and I’m not happy with it . The deodorant stick broke in just 2 weeks after use . I complained to customer service and they replaced the stick with 2 , both of which also broke. I bought another kit at a reduced rate , thank goodness , and I’m going to see if perhaps I just got a defective base . More later .

Love the scent and concept and seems to work well throughout the day but I think more work needs to be done so that the deodorant stick doesnt break off of the base. Buyer beware this could happen to you.

Yes its small, compact and takes up less room wherever its stored, however, because it doesnt have any structural support around the block of deodorant that Im accustomed to, the deodorant bar broke off of its foundation. I cant get it to adhere to its base anymore. Ill just go back to using the old reliable twist up style. This is a No for me.

The deodorant stick popped off the base after the 3rd use and now its basically glorified garbage. Not sure what I was thinking when I bought this.

Its heavy for its size. Its metal and plastic. Its over packaged. And when you go to use it the first time it breaks. So you cant remove the insert to put a replacement into it and have to go buy a new one to use the replacements youve already bought. No, this was a terribly designed product and its packaging is totally impractical for a refillable product. I am guessing the landfills will be full of this stuff.
