> 3 dayLove these. Found out my door installer had use plain cardboard to shim a door, and it was sagging out of true. These were super easy to install, fit exactly, and the door now closes better than ever!

> 3 dayWe broke apart a set of shims from the pack and stacked them behind the lower hinge of a steel entry door. Install was really easy: we loosened the screws and the shims slipped behind the hinge just fine. The only thing was trying to watch that our fingers didnt get pinched between the hinge and frame because you have to push the shims in so they dont show. Its been a month and the gap is still gone and the shims seem to be doing just fine with the weight of the door.

> 3 dayMy front door latch assembly wasnt locking into the strike plate. It was just a tad too low. If I lifted on the doorknob, it would lock in place. The deadbolt was also not lining up unless I lifted the door knob. I first tried cardboard shims that I made, but that would only last for a week or two. I found these on Amazon, although I first ordered the wrong size. Front door hinge is 4 inches and I ordered the 3.5 inch. Not worth returning and I may need them someday. This morning I removed the cardboard from the bottom hinge, started the screws back into the hinge, folded one of these shims in half, removed the third part, and tightened the screws. Door closes and latches perfectly. I should have bought these 3 years ago.

> 3 dayThey worked for me. Standard 4-screw hinge. No issues with plastic bumps or tabs sticking out, no issues with the slots not lining up. I wouldnt mind being able to buy a few less in a package but that is a small nit.

Greater than one weekThese hinge shims are perfect for nudging your door over a little at a time. I had a slightly crooked exterior door with a gap at the bottom. Just loosened up the screws on my hinges and slid in a shim, tightened up and it did what it was supposed to. Good cheap fix. Recommended! Make sure you know the size and screw pattern of your hinges before buying. :)

> 3 dayFront door was not plumb and had a gap at the bottom of about 3/8ths of an inch. Three issues: 1) the existing screws would not be long enough to secure the door into the jamb, 2) the shims were not the same width as the hinge, so there would be a rocker effect as the door opened and closed, 3) a 3/8 inch shim at the hinge side would be pretty ugly. So I will probably cut a tapered piece of wood to put on the jamb on the opposite side. Note these would probably work well for a smaller gap, however hinge screws are set into the jamb and shimming a hinge even 1/16th of an inch prevents the existing screws from setting as deep. There are 2.5/3 inch screws available specifically for this purpose.
