> 24 hourThese swing set frame brackets are very sturdy and well constructed. For my swings, I used a 4 x 6 x 10 treated beam with four (4) 4 x 4 x 10 treated support posts (the actual cut-measured sizes are a bit smaller). Since the beam and posts need to fit into the brackets, you want the lumber you choose to be as straight as possible. I rounded the edges of the posts with a sander to smooth any rough edges. This brought the beam height somewhere between 7 and 8 feet once assembled (which was a good height for both kids and grown-ups; however, I needed to add some links to my swings to lower them somewhat). I used 2-1/2 5/16 galvanized lag screws and 5/16 galvanized flat washers after predrilling holes. You need 28 screws and washers for attaching the posts and beam to two (2) of these brackets. It may not be necessary, but I also added a couple of side pieces for stability. The brackets are a tight fit which is better than if they were too loose. For this reason, you should expect to need to tap them onto the top beam (I did this first). Use a wooden block across the end to hammer against so that the bracket isnt damaged. If you are also adding swing hardware, fit the end posts first so that you can better tell where to add them. I was able to add three (3) swings (two regular, one toddler/baby swing) to the beam. Id suggest adding the swing hardware before attaching the posts. Its easier to drill holes for the brackets before adding the post legs. For the four (4) posts, I also wound up having to tap them in before predrilling holes and screwing the bracket to the posts and beam. After assembling the brackets, posts, and beam, the swing frame will be pretty heavy. You may need a couple of people to raise it up from its side. Its easier if you slide a work table or something underneath to raise it part way up to give yourself better leverage.

> 24 hourAll of the reviews that mention an hour of pounding (and praying) with a rubber mallet are accurate if you dont cut your 4x6 beam ahead of time. I did this for one side and it was a nightmare. For the other side, I got out a circular saw and cut the beam down to 5.5x3.5 (I measured the inside of the bracket and I think I got away with more like 5 9/16 or something). Once the end of the beam was resized, the bracket slid on just like we all dreamed when we purchased it. A second tip: it seems logical to do the first legs laying on the ground and the second up in the air. However, it was a lot easier to get a good position of the 4x4 in the up in the air position and also easier to use my socket wrench (if you have a big enough drill bit, that part doesnt matter). I used a ladder to support the 4x4 while it was up in the air and to get a good position within the bracket. So, were I to make this again, I would do both legs up in the air, and then push them to the ground so the other legs would be up in the air while I worked. All in all, if I had known the circular saw thing ahead of time and I had a drill bit for the lag bolts, This is a half-day project. The results felt very sturdy with my 170 lbs swinging on it. However, shame on the company for creating a 1-2-3- bracket that doesnt fit the commercially available 4x6 you get at your big box store. My guess: the manufacturer screwed up the mold and instead of eating the cost to get them right, they just passed them off to us.

> 24 hourThis worked perfectly. Was confusing on what length 4x4 I needed but I just stuck with an 8’ and it was just right.

> 24 hourThe bracket is tight on the 4x6 beam. It’s best to use a rasp to file down the wood before driving it onto the beam. The 4x4 post fit easy.

> 24 hourThis product works decent enough, however you may want to put in some additional support that I showed in the picture. After two years, the entire swingset moves away more than I feel comfortable with; so you can go by the hardware store and pick up some steel conduit piping, Cut into 2 foot lengths, hammer each end flat and drill a hole. Then mount them as a hypotenuse to the corners and it will stiffen up the entire swingset and make it way more safe

> 24 hourEASTERN JUNGLE GYM EASY 1-2-3 SWING SET A-FRAME BRACKETS These sturdy and heavy-duty brackets are the only way to build a home swing set that will be extremely sturdy. The brackets, while costly, are made of heavy gauge steel, 100% welded joints, and painted nicely to stay rust free for a good looking swing set for years to come. The lag screws and washers are not included. You can purchase the bolt kit extra or go to a home center just as easily. The brackets eliminate any cutting -- you simply buy the wood -- I purchased a ten foot 4x6 beam and ten foot 4x4 posts. Using ten foot 4x4 post in the brackets makes the swing set nine feet high. I then put each leg in the ground 12 deep with concrete. The end result is an eight foot high swing set that isnt going anywhere! I installed two swings to give the kids plenty of room to have fun and swing to their hearts content. In the future when the kids have outgrown this, we will hang a porch swing. Some sanding with a belt sander was required to slide the wood into the brackets. Pressure treated lumber tends to swell and would probably fit better if it sat in the sun for several days to dry out. Each bracket requires 14 lag screws and washers to fasten the wood. This is easy once you drill pilot holes. I used an impact driver to drive the screws and that worked very well, quickly, and was easy. I also purchased 3/8x6 eye bolts to hang the swings. I suggest you get some friends to help stand the swing set up once you have it together. Overall this swing set is built like a rock and it doesnt budge one inch when the kiddies are swinging. Its much sturdier than a home center type you would purchase. Our grand babies LOVE it!!! You will find cheaper brackets out there but you wont end up with the quality such as these. I did everything top shelf on this project and these brackets definitely fall into that category. My total project cost was about $325.00 but this swing set is like one you would find on a playground and is built to last.

> 24 hourSuper sturdy and great coating. I definitely recommend bringing them to store when you are purchasing the wood. Wood is not all cut correctly every time so bring the bracket to confirm the wood you select fits into holes

> 24 hour***UPDATE*** I have changed my review from the 3 stars to 4 stars after receiving the replacement. I was able to get another good one out of the new box and after measuring one of the new ones, it was also smaller than the 3.625 they claim it to be. That being said putting the swing together was super easy and it looks great. I would highly recommend that you have a power drill though to run all of those lag bolts in because there are a lot of them! My DeWalt was nice and warm after putting it all together! We went with a 12 beam on the top and 8 legs but we are thinking of changing the legs over to 10 just to give us more room for the swing arc, assuming we dont get a letter from the HOA...so we might just hold on to the 8 as well! The thing is super sturdy but does need anchored to the ground if you are going to get crazy on it! ------------------------------------------------ I figured I would write this caution and I will for sure update this after I receive the replacement. But as you can see in this photo, the piece is not made correctly and is only 3.25 wide at the bottom and 3.625 at the top which is the measurement that they claim on their website. Since the final cut of a 4x6 is 3.5 x 5.5 if it was made correctly it would slide right on. And the second piece in this kit did just that....it slid right on without any issues at all. I have seen a lot of people saying they needed to soap up the board or push it on with a hammer, etc but being 1/4 under size is obviously a problem with the manufacturing of this piece. Amazon of course is making it right and sending me another one out and I sure hope at least one of the pieces is the correct size because we have some kids that were excited to have a swing set up and now they are learning some patience!
