> 3 dayWell, almost. Theyre big. Theyre heavy. Theyre sturdy. Every bit the 10 pounds they claim to be. Built mine 20 long with a 12 and 8 4x6 connected with the center bracket. All wood slid in fairly easily. Definitely not a one person job though. Mounted the hangers first, then slid the 4x6s in. I didnt encounter the issues some of the others did. Maybe my wood wasnt as green. I did have to tap one in with a rubber mallet. I also used 10 4x4 legs for extra swinging height. Thats where the second person comes in handy. Someone has to hold the leg up while you slide it into the bracket. I also made sure that all the wood slid in BEFORE I started constructing. Took each bracket and tested installing it, then figured which worked smoothest with which leg. Used three of us to raise it. Felt like an Amish barn raising. Overall, I think these will outlast the kids!

> 3 daySolid product. Makes assembly of an A-frame set a breeze. Was looking for a way to replace the attached swing portion to my boys playground set because they were about to destroy it. This was a great choice and sure beats having to design and assemble the frame from scratch. Website recommends 4x4x8 for the legs and 4x6x10 for the top, but like many reviewers I upgraded. I used a 4x6x12 for top and 4x4x8 2/3 for legs (originally used 4x4x10 for legs but it was huge and I didnt want to have to grab a ladder to change the swings out every time; used a circular saw to cut them down to size with the help of my wife). At this height, my wife (~510) is able to change them out on her tiptoes. Such an easy and cost effective way to set up your own swing set - I will certainly be spreading the word!

> 3 dayBad news: - As others have mentioned, I had to rip just over a blade worth from my 4x6. Kinda difficult ripping a 4x6x12 by yourself? And even after ripping a blade width from the height of the beam and drilling out their rivets to get rid of the manufacturers tag (rivets protrude into the inside side wall which too hungs up), I still had to beat it with a rubber mallet for four feet for the middle bracket. Spent a lot of extra time trying to make these brackets work. Good and bad news: - They seem to be reading these reviews and improving their product which is why I gave them four instead of three stars. I read a review showing no paint on the inside of the bracket and mentioning concern of the pressure treated wood rusting out the bracket from the inside out. Well thanks for writing that review because they must have listened, mine is painted. The same review mentioned the wrong lags are included. Well once again, they must have listened. One of two I purchased had galvanised lags. I wish they both came with galvanised lags. I assume I got one older bracket that was sitting on a shelf for awhile and the other more recently made reflecting this change. Suggestion for the manufacturer: If you make these brackets a little bit bigger, you will get better reviews and sell more product. If I could have just slipped them on the 4x6 and screwed in place, then I would have given you five stars. I would rather them be a bit loose then have to rip a beam. The whole reason I bought these brackets is to save time. One little change and then I would say that you would be silly to build a swingset without one of these brackets.

> 3 dayAll of the reviews that mention an hour of pounding (and praying) with a rubber mallet are accurate if you dont cut your 4x6 beam ahead of time. I did this for one side and it was a nightmare. For the other side, I got out a circular saw and cut the beam down to 5.5x3.5 (I measured the inside of the bracket and I think I got away with more like 5 9/16 or something). Once the end of the beam was resized, the bracket slid on just like we all dreamed when we purchased it. A second tip: it seems logical to do the first legs laying on the ground and the second up in the air. However, it was a lot easier to get a good position of the 4x4 in the up in the air position and also easier to use my socket wrench (if you have a big enough drill bit, that part doesnt matter). I used a ladder to support the 4x4 while it was up in the air and to get a good position within the bracket. So, were I to make this again, I would do both legs up in the air, and then push them to the ground so the other legs would be up in the air while I worked. All in all, if I had known the circular saw thing ahead of time and I had a drill bit for the lag bolts, This is a half-day project. The results felt very sturdy with my 170 lbs swinging on it. However, shame on the company for creating a 1-2-3- bracket that doesnt fit the commercially available 4x6 you get at your big box store. My guess: the manufacturer screwed up the mold and instead of eating the cost to get them right, they just passed them off to us.

> 3 dayIf you use a 4 x 6 for the main post you will have to trim it about 1/8” to 1/4” on both sides. A planer or a table saw will work. It takes some effort but this was preferable for me because of how I affixed the swing. Running the brackets between a pair of 2 x 6 did not seem to be as sturdy but the makers state they use that method.

> 3 dayFits nominal sized wood better than other brands. Only issue is the lag bolts are very poor quality. They will break under moderate torque.

> 3 dayUsed these in combination with a middle bracket to make a 16 A-frame swingset. Pros: + Durable paint and steel, holding up perfectly after a few months in the elements + Included GALVANIZED hardware - important! + Snug fit - I see a lot of people complain about it being a tight fit for a standard big box 4x6. I see that as a good thing because I know its not going anywhere. About 15 minutes with a hammer and chisel and youll be good to go, but Id also recommend letting your pressure treated wood dry out for a week or two beforehand to make it easier. Cons: - As others have said, regular 4x4s fit a little loose in the leg holes. I didnt use shims or anything, but I wish they fit a bit more snug. - Lack of documentation: A little time with an angle finder and some experimenting and I found that a 15 degree bevel and 15 degree miter will get your legs to sit more or less flat on grass. It would have been helpful if the angles for the legs were provided by the vendor. All in all Im happy with the brackets; for less than the price of a premade swingset we got to build our own custom one.
