> 3 dayI looked at many different swing set kits and all had many bad reviews. Things like pieces missing, to holes mis-drilled, to cracked lumber and even broken materials. I found these brackets from Eastern Jungle and I bought them, a couple of swings and some very sturdy, treated lumber (4 X 4 & 2 X 6) and built my own swing set. It currently only have two swings, but our daughter is only 2, so thats all she needs at the moment. I will add a slide later this summer. I will also be sanding the wood to make it smooth to prevent from splinters, and I will paint the wood to help protect it from weathering. The brackets come with the bolts and washers needed for assembly. I used a rachet and socket, but an impact gun or drill would have made the assembly go much faster. If you are looking for a swing set for a young child, you should consider building something like this instead of spending money on a kit that has thin, cracked wood. UPDATE: JUNE 2022. I added the slide and built a platform and steps. I also put a top on the playhouse portion. The swings, slide, brackets, the red, yellow, & green tarp, and the swivel anchors for the swings all came from Amazon. After sanding the wood, I painted the entire set with a good quality exterior paint.

> 3 dayThe bracket itself is rather self-explanatory. In my opinion, no instructions were needed, so it fits that none were provided. At first glance, this is a heavy-duty piece of equipment. It seems to be very solid and well made. Ive already installed it on one end of our swing set beam. I feel confident that this will support our backyard swing set. The only complaint (which has been resolved by quick and excellent Amazon customer service) is that I ordered a pair, but only received a single bracket. That put a damper on our construction timeline, but not a big deal. Just teaches all of us a lesson in patience. Amazon is sending the second one to us for free with two-day shipping.

> 3 dayWell, almost. Theyre big. Theyre heavy. Theyre sturdy. Every bit the 10 pounds they claim to be. Built mine 20 long with a 12 and 8 4x6 connected with the center bracket. All wood slid in fairly easily. Definitely not a one person job though. Mounted the hangers first, then slid the 4x6s in. I didnt encounter the issues some of the others did. Maybe my wood wasnt as green. I did have to tap one in with a rubber mallet. I also used 10 4x4 legs for extra swinging height. Thats where the second person comes in handy. Someone has to hold the leg up while you slide it into the bracket. I also made sure that all the wood slid in BEFORE I started constructing. Took each bracket and tested installing it, then figured which worked smoothest with which leg. Used three of us to raise it. Felt like an Amish barn raising. Overall, I think these will outlast the kids!

> 3 dayWe wanted a swing set for our daughter but did not want to pay the ridiculous price for a full ready to assemble kit. This kit was very easy to assemble. The biggest issue is there were no instructions on my box, but it was pretty easy to figure out. It fit 4x4s for the legs and a 4x6 for three beam very well. It is sturdy enough to support the combined weight of two adults and a toddler (in our case close to 600lbs) with no signs of stress at all. I purchased this set over others because the build looked solid (and it is) and they price was right. I am very pleased with this purchase.

> 3 dayWhen you install your 4x4x8 legs, the inside edges of the 4x4s that touch at the top (as extended inside the bracket) form an isosceles triangle with long side 95 7/8 and short side 74 7/16 (so in that triangle plane, the legs have an angle of approx. 22.8 degrees from the middle of the triangle) The other angle (which extends over the long length of the assembled swing) is approx. 14.5 degrees from vertical. The net result of this is that you make 4 marks on each of the lines that form the corners of your 4x4. The outer corner you leave (the existing corner is the mark). The inner corner, make a mark 2.5 from the bottom. The corner that is inside-long-way/outside-short-way, make a mark 1 from the bottom. The corner that is outside-long-way/inside-short-way, make a mark 1.5 from the bottom. Now join up these 4 points with lines. These lines form a plane, and you can cut the plane with a sawzall with a long blade. The legs will now sit flat on the ground.

> 3 daySo this made building a swing set for my son so much easier. It’s literally is just getting the lumber (we did take the pieces to Lowe’s to make sure they fit well as suggested) and drilling the pilot holes/screws. My only recommendation is getting different hardware. 2 of the screws it came with broke halfway in as we were drilling which sucked to get out. Still would highly suggest this product.
