Easy to use. Works like a charm.

Because I planned to use my unit in multiple locations I decided to mount it in a project box to avoid over stressing the pigtail leads. Now I can just plug it into any appliance or light and switch it from one light to another. The box prevents my grand kids from fooling with wires also. I downloaded the software and it installed without a hitch and it works perfectly every time.

Great easy to install product

Im using this for small projects. It works great and is easy to use, but a few things Id like to note: 1) DO NOT PUT THIS IN A WALL OR OUTLET BOX, PUT IT IN A PROPER ENCLOSURE 2) PAY ATTENTION TO HOT/NEUTRAL AND TEST IT WITH A MULTIMETER 3) WHEN IN DOUBT, ASK, DONT GUESS - this does not have proper certifications and should be considered dangerous to use, if youre unsure of how to use this safely for your application, ask!

I did not need make my entire Hayward Pool Panel and accessories to be smart which costs over $1,000 for that add-on. I just wanted the inground Hayward LED pool light to be smart. I installed this inline in 5 minutes and downstream from the Panel light switch. Basically it is in between the hayward panel light switch and just before the low voltage pool light transform that transforms the pool light to 12V DC. I was even able to lay the switch resting at the bottom of the metal panel and it still has good signal from my nearest Google WIFI Mesh system. I would say it is about 30 from the nearest WIFI Puck, which includes going thru an exterior wall and a metal panel. Very impressed and the easy connectors that it comes are pretty innovative. Which made the project go even faster. You do have to leave the Hayward imbedded pool light switch in the panel to be ON. However, obviously for the reason that the relay smart switch switch will now manage your off/on capabilities from your phone/ipad or wherever you install the Smart Life App

Device is bigger than anticipated but it worked for my installation. Set up was very straight forward. They must have worked out the kinks. I also manage to connect to google home very easily. I installed bunch of Lutron Cassette’s home before this device, I would have probably consider more of these which are cheaper than casetta’s

*** UPDATED 7/12/18 *** - Seller has addressed the earlier safety concern. The original version of this product used a quick connector that was dangerous (see below). The seller of the product took my review seriously and reached out to me the same day. They understood the concern and let me know they were going to change to a different quick connector. The seller shipped me a replacement at no cost and for my evaluation and feedback. The new lever quick connector is a significant improvement. The new connector ensures that a bare wire is no longer exposed. Additionally the new connector also firmly holds the wire. I gave the wires a good tug once it was locked in and didnt see any movement. The new lever connector makes it very simple to connect your wiring. Simply strip the wire the the recommended length. Note that if you look at the bottom of the quick connector there is a reference that shows how much wire should be stripped. Do not exceed that length to ensure the wire is fully shielded inside the connector. The quick connector works with both solid and stranded wire. The functionality of the unit is great. Its easy to install the app and connect devices to the app. Instructions are clear and straight forward. It was also very easy to add to Alexa app for voice control through the Echo devices. Even if you dont have an Alexa product the app is easy to use as well and also includes an option to schedule on/off times. The only negative about the app is it doesnt offer widgets (I use the Android version) which would allow a widget button to be put on the screen of your phone. You can then turn the EMylo device on and off without having to launch the app. All other apps for similar products that Ive used offer this, so hopefully this will be added in a future version. _____ORIGINAL REVIEW_____ WARNING - This product can be very dangerous due to design flaw Please note - I attempted to write a review for the single unit however for some reason Amazon would not permit me to do so. However I am a VERIFIED purchaser of this unit. Based on what I found, I wanted to get my review posted before someone gets injured. The biggest factor that eMylo uses to differentiate itself is the quick connector. Well, its also its biggest reason for only 1 star. Ive used the competitions model, and I did find that a bit clunky to get wired. So when I saw this with the easy connector I was quickly sold. However, in reality this connector is not secure and Id also say its not safe. Let me explain. There is a short wire that is connected inside the unit (basically the same as competitors product) and then connected to the quick connector. This is very visible in the pictures in the listing. When I received the unit I gave it a look over, and a slight tug on the connector caused the wire to slide out of the connector, exposing a bare wire. So imagine if you had this connected in your home and the wire slid out of the connector, exposing a bare live wire that your child, spouse or pet could get zapped. The quick connector SHOULD NOT BE USED, IT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS. Fortunately, you can disconnect the quick connector wires and then connect wires inside the unit, same as the competition, but then theres no difference between this and other products that are on the market. I did test the unit, discarding the quick connector and attached wires directly inside the unit, I found that the unit worked well. However, this then pointed out that there is another design flaw. That same connector could also slip off wires that youve connected to it. Imagine that you have one end connected to your outlet and those wires slip out of the quick connector. You now have exposed wires as well. I tested connections into the quick connector and found that wires can slide out with only a modest tug. At this point, with the danger of live wires being exposed by accidentally slipping off the quick connector Amazon should immediately stop selling this product before someone gets injured, or worse.

I bought this assuming it would come w documentation. I;m not sure what power level its rated for?? AC or DC???

The wire clips are a good idea but poorly made. Go with the Sonoff brand.

The product works exactly how it should. Other than the fact it wont fit in a standard 4x4 box the only complaint I have is the connectors. These things are cheap and the wire pulls out pretty easy. I took the end caps off and used some 12ga thhn wire and hardwired mine with the set screws inside.
