*** UPDATED 7/12/18 *** - Seller has addressed the earlier safety concern. The original version of this product used a quick connector that was dangerous (see below). The seller of the product took my review seriously and reached out to me the same day. They understood the concern and let me know they were going to change to a different quick connector. The seller shipped me a replacement at no cost and for my evaluation and feedback. The new lever quick connector is a significant improvement. The new connector ensures that a bare wire is no longer exposed. Additionally the new connector also firmly holds the wire. I gave the wires a good tug once it was locked in and didnt see any movement. The new lever connector makes it very simple to connect your wiring. Simply strip the wire the the recommended length. Note that if you look at the bottom of the quick connector there is a reference that shows how much wire should be stripped. Do not exceed that length to ensure the wire is fully shielded inside the connector. The quick connector works with both solid and stranded wire. The functionality of the unit is great. Its easy to install the app and connect devices to the app. Instructions are clear and straight forward. It was also very easy to add to Alexa app for voice control through the Echo devices. Even if you dont have an Alexa product the app is easy to use as well and also includes an option to schedule on/off times. The only negative about the app is it doesnt offer widgets (I use the Android version) which would allow a widget button to be put on the screen of your phone. You can then turn the EMylo device on and off without having to launch the app. All other apps for similar products that Ive used offer this, so hopefully this will be added in a future version. _____ORIGINAL REVIEW_____ WARNING - This product can be very dangerous due to design flaw Please note - I attempted to write a review for the single unit however for some reason Amazon would not permit me to do so. However I am a VERIFIED purchaser of this unit. Based on what I found, I wanted to get my review posted before someone gets injured. The biggest factor that eMylo uses to differentiate itself is the quick connector. Well, its also its biggest reason for only 1 star. Ive used the competitions model, and I did find that a bit clunky to get wired. So when I saw this with the easy connector I was quickly sold. However, in reality this connector is not secure and Id also say its not safe. Let me explain. There is a short wire that is connected inside the unit (basically the same as competitors product) and then connected to the quick connector. This is very visible in the pictures in the listing. When I received the unit I gave it a look over, and a slight tug on the connector caused the wire to slide out of the connector, exposing a bare wire. So imagine if you had this connected in your home and the wire slid out of the connector, exposing a bare live wire that your child, spouse or pet could get zapped. The quick connector SHOULD NOT BE USED, IT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS. Fortunately, you can disconnect the quick connector wires and then connect wires inside the unit, same as the competition, but then theres no difference between this and other products that are on the market. I did test the unit, discarding the quick connector and attached wires directly inside the unit, I found that the unit worked well. However, this then pointed out that there is another design flaw. That same connector could also slip off wires that youve connected to it. Imagine that you have one end connected to your outlet and those wires slip out of the quick connector. You now have exposed wires as well. I tested connections into the quick connector and found that wires can slide out with only a modest tug. At this point, with the danger of live wires being exposed by accidentally slipping off the quick connector Amazon should immediately stop selling this product before someone gets injured, or worse.

I live in a 100-year-old home we have some new wiring where the voice control switches work. I had given up on the old to wire lights, but these little switches I have turned my entire home into voice control! They’re easy to install and two pair with my current Alexa system

To start with they are current rated so they have limits. These work fine if you completely replace a switch. The overall construction of these is cheaply made. One of the four pack I received the end cover was broken off. Wires are real short and the provided connectors in my opinion are junk. Might work nice on stranded 14 but what house wire is like that. The size will fit in electrical box but as stated replacing a switch and blank cover. What I hated the most about these is unlike smart bulbs they do not stay in last state / position. As a comparison you can use a smart bulb and still operate with a light switch. So during the day you can enter / leave a room and operate the lights on a switch. When you go away you can leave switch on and operate through smart life app. With these relays they will remain on Wi-Fi in app as the lights do. However you have to leave switch on and only operates on Wi-Fi. It will not hold the state it was in. It is literally a switch. Not very useful in comparison to bulbs. So really depends on what you want to achieve. This is not for some home do it yourself. Make no mistake this is electrical and should as a minimum be done by someone with that expertise.

Bought the switch for a ceiling fan. Before I installed it all the way, I just dangled the switch off the proper wires. I downloaded the app for it, Smart Life. Tried one, then the other switch (At one point I had the output routed to the input and I thought maybe I blew the switch). Neither one could be recognised. I read the review saying to trash the directions, instead press front button for 10 seconds, release for 1 beat and repress for 5 more seconds to get it to work. We were on the same 2.4 gz. network, tried on my Android and wifes Iphone. Two DAYS we tried; we got fast blinks, slow green blinks, red and green blinking, red steady light, etc. You name it, we experienced it. The TWO sections of a total of 140 words that tell you how to get the software installed is about the WORST set of directions, EVER. Got nowhere. Then I read the review that said to download the TuyaSmart app. It is, basically, THE SAME APP! Except this one worked in like 5 seconds. Seriously, after all the hassles I thought, Well, this bombed on me too only to be astonished it said that it had worked and accepted the switch. Then we took the working switch temporarily down as we had to wire the fan up. In the course of events, I mixed up the switch I KNEW worked with one not yet installed. I wasnt positive they were swapped, mind you, so we proceeded anyway. Guess what? It was NOT the first switch. The other switch set up in like 4 seconds though! It works like a charm. The signal penetrates even under the canopy (which was a squeeze, but there was enough room). We got it up, my phone switched on fan, previously configured smart bulbs on the fans light kit turned on as when we asked them to. Then they turned off. . But, when the fan stopped via the wi-fi switch, I realized that to get the switch on again for the LIGHTS to be able to work, I would also end up turning the fan back on. My goal was to make both the fan and the light work via voice control (or phone!) A rather simple fix, I will just rewire the fans lights to they can come on when the switch is on via voice by bypassing the wi-fi switch and just allow the switch to work the fan. Under this scenario the wall switch stays on all the time. The lights have their own built in Alexa switch! Home automation IS NOT easy, but it is challenging and with each new device wired for voice, I get a little closer to my goal of 100% automation.

I bought 6 of these and they will not pair through auto scan and they are not listed in the smart life app for manual pairing. I have not been able to find any kind of technical support for these. Most of my network consist of Meross devices that work flawlessly. These were a waste of time and money for me. I have other devices on my network that run on 2.4 gigahertz so I dont understand the issue. Too bad Im outside the return window.

The code to get to the correct software did not work and the item is too big for a single gang electrical box
