I purchased 2 of these for my sons for Christmas. One works in the underground mines and one is an apprentice at a machine shop. They requested this brand cooler. The quality and durability seems to be good. Only time will tell. Ill come back and editor needed!

Great cooler for a day out. I have found that it holds ice and keeps contents cold all day. Nice size for a day trip. I like that it has a handle on top and a shoulder strap. I haven’t had it very long, but it seems to be durable and sturdy. Very easy to clean.

Im a carpenter and I work long days, this cooler is the perfect size for my lunch, drinks, snacks and whatever else I need cold throughout the day. Its great, latches are metal, the body and lid are plenty sturdy to use as a seat and it seals very well. My only downside to this cooler is its a 1 day cooler, which is fine for a lunch box, but it doesnt keep ice more than 26 hours. I am going to drill a couple holes in the lid and spray foam it up. I have does this before and it makes ok coolers great! Just make sure you silicone the holes shut or it will mold. Yes i would buy it again. and again.

Super sturdy! Strong handle! Solid carrying strap in addition to the top handle. Kept everything cold! Great value and super fast shipping!

19 qt cooler is large enough to fit everything, Water bottle and 14 ounce coffee thermos can standing upright. Plastic hinges are holding up. Stainless latches hold everything in tights. You have to be careful when closing lid, sometimes the shoulder strap can get caught inside the cooler, also you have to watch out for the two latches when closing the top because they can flip in and get stuck.

My husband works for a blacktop company and his lunchbox has to ride on the paver all day, in the direct sunlight, around 350 degree blacktop and this is the best one so far to keep his items cool most of the day. We are experimenting with different ice packs to try and get it to last all day.

EVERYDAY AFFAIR- That Box was by my side every day I left the house for work for the past 3 years. The foam seal for the Lid is still water and Air tight 100% . Never used it as a seat it a step-stool . Cracks formed around the handle on the Lid after year 2 . Last week while walking across a busy intersection in LA the plastic clip/length adjuster broke and the Box took a Hard Tumble. If I get 3 years out of my new green one I will give another positive review. Thank You Engel for not being a YETI

If you compare this to any Yeti product then you are comparing two different class products. This Engel Cooler Dry box 19qt compared to a Yeti Roadie 19qt quite frankly is no comparison. ($60 vs $249) I own them both for comparison. 1st The Engels outside size it much smaller than a Yeti. Obviously this means less foam insulation. This is where it wins in certain situations. I use it for day trips, and road trips that I dont have the need for cold food or drinks past the 2 day mark. I also was concerned about the hinges like others on this cooler but it has performed great for me so far. I can see how it would be great as a lunch box as some other users claim. It does what is built to do. Keeps food cold, or keep your dry goods dry. 2nd This cooler is much lighter than a Yeti once again because it is not built to the same standard. I do use mine as a seat from time to time and have not had any issues @200 lbs. I have used this cooler on my boat and it performed great. I would suggest the Ice packs, or frozen waters to keep your items chilled because it is only 19 quarts. I actually bought this product because I thought it might have been the deal of the century Yeti like knock off. It is not a Yeti but I was not disappointed for the $60.00 price point. It is great little cooler for the money, it is just not a Yeti. Compare it more to a similarly priced product and you will find it is a gem. Engel does make coolers that are comparable to the Yeti in the Deep Blue series. This is where my initial confusion started because my research didnt spell out the differences in the cooler series. You would think I should have known the difference up front spending 1/4 of the money. My confusion yielded me a little useful cooler that I use quite often. It is a quality product that I can see lasting for years to come. Please compare the deep blue series Engel to the Yeti if you want a true comparison. It should be no surprise that the prices match as well as the coolers capabilities. This is a $60 cooler/dry box as it states.
