> 24 hourLets get this out of the way- You get a very nice picture out of this. 1080p is easy for it of course and Ive really enjoyed watching The Mandalorian in 4k. This is hooked up to a PC and Ive found that a 92 desktop is entirely usable with 4k. Physically the projector is a bit beefy. I wouldnt call it light however I didnt have much trouble ceiling mounting it by myself. It is plenty bright and even with lights on I tend to keep it on the lower settings without issue. As I said, beefy, so keep that in mind when purchasing a mount. I have the cheap one I was using for a smaller projector and not only is it probably a little to light duty for this, the mounting footprint isnt big enough and I can only get three of the arms to reach the projector holes. I advise not skimping and get something rock solid which will make your setup for aiming and focus a lot easier. Speaking of aiming I love the manual lens shift which is a first for me. It allows so much freedom of where you mount it. There is a lot of range in the zoom to so I didnt have to move my existing mount. My only real complaint is the lack of connectivity. My Epson LS100 has an network port so I can tie it in with my home automation while this doesnt even have a serial port. I bought the wireless adapter thinking that would give me what I need but it was only after contacting support that I was told it is only for media streaming and did not provide control. This is a must have feature for me so it leaves me a little disappointed. Other than that I did have some flakiness in a long HDMI cable but a repeater fixed that. Epson makes good hardware and Id recommend this to anyone with the caveat that you do your research. Know about the connectivity, get a good mount, then enjoy the picture.

> 24 hourExcellent color, contrast and brightness. Input lag is good enough for console gamers. The ECO mode is quite. I like 3LCD projector more than DLP projector. They have better color and contrast. If you are like me, looking for a 3LCD projector, for movies and gaming, and 4K, Epson product line is definitely what you can’t miss. And this one, HC3800, is the best at $1000-$2000. I love it! (This is a late review. I bought the projector one year ago. I’ve been enjoying it for the past whole year. I am so glad that I did a right decision a year ago)

> 24 hourWanted to start out with the unboxing, this is a solid unit in which you need a quality ceiling mount (Id recommend a professional if you arent that handy). Now this has your basic setup steps to go through as soon as you turn the unit on but I would recommend doing some research and reading on this unit as there is so much more advanced tweaking you can do. I made some presets and am able to change setting based on room brightness, screen aspect ratio, etc. You have a couple HDMI slots, USB plugs, Mini USB, Audio, etc so should be all you need to hook up any devices you need. The picture with 4k is so clear and crisp, the details just jump out at you and if you pay attention it is almost like you are looking our your window or outside it is just that real. My kids love it as it makes it seem like every night is a movie theater night and we no longer have a bulky tv setup to look at. Wanting to get a retractable screen for it to make our setup look a lot cleaner but currently just have a regular screen. Also, I hooked up with our wireless surround sound effortlessly, there was no sound delay and to me it was a hassle free experience. I have had other TV setups that were a lot more challenging but this was easy. Cant say enough good things about this unit, just really makes the family movie experience that much more delightful! Would highly recommend!

> 24 hourComing from a 10 year old Epson projector, this was modest improvement, primarily in brightness and contrast. However, the fan was really loud and the image had unacceptable uneven focus from side to side. Returned and upgraded to the 5050, which has an infinitely better image with better blacks, contrast, sharpness, noise, etc.

> 24 hourThis is a 4K projector from Epson that is meant to play games, films, and sports/regular TV. Lets get right to it: [Setup] In general, easy and quick here. Its a turn on and go type of setup. However, if you want to get really in depth with the settings, it is *definitely* there should you want to. Were talking the ability to adjust *any* aspect of the picture (brightness, saturation, color, white balance, sharpness, etc etc). However, I played with the settings just a little (mostly to turn all the enhancements off) and found it just peachy. There are adjust picture controls inside the menu and on the projector. I was able to get the geometry to perfectly match up (at least to my eyes) to a rectangle. Lens shift details are: Vertical: -60.0% to +60.0% (H center) Horizontal: -24.0% to +24.0% (V center) Inputs are: 2x HDMI® 2.0 (18 Gbps) HDCP 2.2 1x USB Type A 2.0 A power supply (for streaming devices) 1x USB (for wireless accessory and firmware updates) 1x Mini USB (service only) 1x Audio out mini plug (3.5 mm) [Picture Quality] Its superb as far as projectors go. You dont really know what youre missing, until you see the difference. I can say that even with a $100 projector, that its clear enough to watch a movie. With a $500 projector, I can say its very clear -- and even looks quite good. With this 4k projector, it starts to change from yea, this is a good projector picture to competing, and succeeding your LED TV. The real strength here is with color and crispness. Its *better* than a digital cinema, for example. It rivals LED TVs (succeeds a lot of them in my opinion). However, as others have mentioned, the black levels are diluted and muggy. Eh, not much else to say with that -- but the black levels are mediocre. You wont notice it unless youre really looking, but its similar to a theatre experience. The 4K picture, though, with 4K content -- just, wow. I just cant get enthusiastic about going to the theatre anymore, due to the fact I have a better theatre experience in my own home (with the exception of not having other patrons me, mind you). The color gamut on this gets to 100%, whereas many TVs only go to 60% of the color output. The picture, needless to say, is superb. [Misc] Bluetooth audio -- yes, it works with bluetooth surround sound. Works very well. Lumens (very good for this price) at 2900. You can have even modest ambient light, and get a perfectly well formed, and rich picture. Aspect Ratio - Native: 16:9 widescreen (4:3 resize,16:10 resize); compatible with 4:3 with Normal, Full or Zoom Modes Supported Resolution - 3840 x 2160, Full HD 1080p/i, HD 720p, 576p/i, 480p/i Replacement lamp: 250 W UHE Lamp Life: ECO Mode: Up to 5,000 hours (~2500 movies) Medium Mode: Up to 4,000 hours (~2000 movies) High Mode: Up to 3,500 hours (~ 1750 movies) Max projection size: 300 Weight: ~15lb (on the heavy side, but not out of the ordinary. Its a big projector) [Closing] This is a 4k premium projector that has a lamp life that last a very long time, and gives you a picture that exceeds almost all projectors sub $1.5k Is it worth it to spend more? Absolutely -- if youre going for a true cinema replacement experience (and a full on gaming experience). Excellent 4k projector

> 24 hourWe have a bonus room/movie theatre which the kids use a majority of the year and we use for major events like the Super Bowl, etc. My son has his PS4 hooked up to the receiver so he plays 2K20 and Fortnite while the daughter has spend the night movie parties in there. Everyone loves the ability to consume their content via the 120 projector screen in 4k. For the past three months we have thoroughly enjoyed this Epson 3200 projector. Unlike some of the bigger Epson projectors which support HDMI over wireless (which comes with its own issues with Netflix, etc.) this one does allow you to project content over IP (either LAN or WLAN with optional wireless module) This allows the user to bring their own device and throw content to the screen without physically connecting the device to the projector (or receiver). To do this you have to use Epsons app or software. The problem with this approach is the audio as most of you looking to buy this will be hooking to a receiver for movies/games, etc. If you project wirelessly through the app, the content goes directly to the projector, bypassing the receiver so any audio needs you have will have to come out of the back of the projector via the built in tiny speakers. I wouldnt utilize this feature for much more than showing a powerpoint. Before I get too far ahead of myself, I should point out that installation was quite simple and just involves the power cord and plugging in my HDMI cord (which we had already run to the ceiling from my receiver). Both kids and my wife immediately commented on how much darker the blacks were than our Sony projector. Without getting into the technical color calibrations, Epson offers you multiple modes on the projector to choose from. Unanimously the family chose natural while my son does like to change it to dynamic when he plays fortnite because he swears the brighter colors make him play better. If youre considering this projector you have probably seen the bigger brother to this unit, the Epson 3800. Its $200 more and includes some nice to have features such as better contrast, better brightness and some lens shift adjustments. For us those features wouldnt be justification for the extra money. All in all this is a major bump up from our 1080p 3D Sony projector that we had and am thoroughly enjoying the rich 4k titles (albeit it via our HDMI cable instead of wireless!)

> 24 hourPros: Bright and performs well in a room with ambient light, has a sharp picture and great HDR controls Cons: Contrast is not optimal, lens adjustment and focus is manual and makes it extremely tedious to adjust a ceiling mounted projector, fan noise is a bit loud.

> 24 hourBought the refurbished model. Seems to be working so far. Great picture quality. Best in a very dark room. I have an apple tv 4K device installed on it as well as a vizio soundbar with wireless subwoofer and surround speakers. Also using a 100 inch screen. Great for movies and sports.

> 24 hourI switched to this from my old 3000 Lumen 720p projector. I had expected a clarity improvement, but I was unsure about the drop down to 2900 Lumens since the 3000 wasnt great in a brighter environment that I sometimes have. Im pleased to say that I was blown away by the improvement in clarity and completely surprised by the brightness. I know the rating is 100 Lumens lower, but it seems significantly brighter than my old projector.
