Simple to add to house

I’ve owned 2 generations of a competitors security camera system. When they started to charge a monthly fee I went looking for another option. (I also kept getting enjoying false movement notifications constantly) and without a subscription you can’t set activity zones like they used to offer for free in earlier years. Found the eufycam system with two 2C pro cameras on sale. I was shocked how much better the eufy system was than my Arl… I mean other system. Cameras connect almost instantly, unlike the spinning circle in the past. The battery life has been exceptional (I’m guessing because they aren’t so many “false notifications” like me previous system? Had the cameras up for a few months one battery level barely moved from full charge. Incredible. My only negative / hesitation is the batteries are sealed into the camera so you can’t swap them out. If the battery goes bad you have a paperweight. However I realize that as all companies improve their products the batteries become obsolete (my previous systems from same company changed batteries design) anyway so not backwards compatible anyway. it’s a calculated risk I was willing to accept. Loved the two cameras so much I ordered two more for the exterior of my home. So far it’s an A+ for the eufy 2C Pro cameras.

There have been multiple events that multiple cameras haven’t recorded. But yet I get multiple human detected a week with nothing in frame other then a shadow from a tree. I wish I got a wired system with a hard drive verses this junk system. Makes me wonder what’s been missed while I’ve not been home. Buyer beware.

I have 3 of these cameras. 2 work pretty well but one the one i have monitoring my drive often doesn’t detect vehicles. I contacted support which was pretty useless and a waste of time. Since two of the cameras work decently well, I’m exchanging the bad camera, hoping it’s a hardware issue. The cameras are made for a small area. If you have a large area to watch, these aren’t the way to go. They’re good for a doorway, garage door, small porch or deck. If you’re trying to watch an half acre yard or something, these are not the cameras for you. Well unless you want to mount a half dozen cameras.

Installation and setup was easy. Motion detection was well with the associated notifications. Excellent product.

Just added this to my home-base 2 and battery doorbell. Im super happy with this system, just ordered another camera for my driveway. Zero complaints, do not hesitate to give company a try.

The Eufy system is a battery operated wireless system. I purchased this camera as an add-on to other cameras within the system. The battery life is good in the cameras (has lasted 6 mo between charges) and the cameras provide a reasonably good view of my property. Night vision is displayed in a infra-red (shades of white) format and actually gives a better view at night than the built in light. The camera is weather sealed and continues to work in rain or snow. Motion detection is a little delayed, possibly due to having to transmit a signal through the net. The motion detector will also false signal with a passing car at night with headlights on. The system does integrate well with the Alexa app without the need to purchase a subscription, so this is a plus. Overall, I would recommend this as a wireless camera system. If you need second to second motion tracking, consider a wired security system.

Poor motion detection. Although the picture quality and IR night vision are good, none of that helps if the motion detection will not trigger soon enough. I have to be within about 20 feet before motion detection triggers an alert. The cameras have a nice FOV and clarity, but do not expect much if you are trying to capture movement beyond 6 or 7 yards.

Great quality video and facial recognition is accurate
