> 3 dayThis thing is amazing. Its perfect for us in a kitchen, where you would move around while talking. The camera follows you and focuses on you, wherever you are. While its not otherwise engaged, it displays your Facebook photo album. It also supports multiple Facebook accounts (but not multiple alexa accounts), so it can mix pictures from your partners account in the slideshow. The mic is excellent. Alexa can hear me from clear in the other room, just like a person would. I can say alexa, play cbs news, and the live stream comes right up. Its big enough that I use it as a mini television to watch the news while cooking. LOVE IT!

> 3 dayI’m so confused and annoyed! I purchased this and was so excited to try it out. I’ve had the Original Echo Show since it’s been out and I’ve loved it! It’s been acting slow and out of date recently and so I wanted to update to something new and I was going between the Echo Show 10 or the Portal Plus and I decided on the portal plus because I loved the bigger display screen. I get it and I’m in love with it until I started trying to use the basic features that my Echo Show had because the Portal Plus has Alexa built into it. The portal plus is terrible! I asked a few of the basic questions. “ Hey Alexa/Portal, connect to my phone “ It wouldn’t work and I had to go to the device and click on my phone or go to my phone’s Bluetooth settings and click on the device to connect them. “ Hey Alexa/Portal, call whoever “ It said I had to connect my contacts when I already had all my accounts logged in and active. “ Hey Alexa/Portal, play Spotify “ It never worked either. It doesn’t play my music unless I connect it from my phone. So that’s makes this device almost pointless if I can’t even ask for the basic question that everything else can do. It doesn’t even have a drop in feature like the Echo Shows but it has Alexa built in!? Okay… I’ve had this device for about 2 weeks and I get home yesterday to see that my device completely reset and I had to re do everything! So I decided to go ahead and return it and exchange it for the Echo Show 10. I know it’ll do better. Really sad if you ask me. Very disappointed.

> 3 dayWe love our Portal to spend time with our family that is out of state. I have used Story Time for our granddaughter. Only one concern, we had a Portal+ that only lasted 18 months. A lot of money for only 18 months use. However, we are hoping that it was a fluke and this one lasts for a longer time. We gave the 10” Portals as gifts and they have lasted for a few years.

> 3 dayLove that it has a big screen. Best part of all its features is that as I walk around the room camera follows me. I plan to buy a second one for kitchen later.

01-04-2025Does require reasonable upload speed in order for picture quality to be good (say 5MB+ or so). If you or the other user has DSL, picture quality will be bad.

> 3 dayI bought this for my daughter for Christmas and we love it. I can visit with my grandsons and see my new granddaughter in full screen rather than on the little camera on her phone. It is hard to explain all of the great things it can do because it is at my daughters house in Alaska, but my grandsons can call me anytime and we video chat to our hearts content even though we are many miles apart.

> 3 dayFirst off, it deserves more stars if ALL you need is to call (whatsApp) another person. Kids or parents. If you are looking for a device for your home office - stay away. Pros: - looks great. Good quality screen (rotates) and a camera - connects to Bluetooth devices (e.g. keyboard, mouse, etc.) - easy to use Cons: - no 3rd party voice or video calls supported. No jabber, no Alexa calls, no skype, no sip, no google. Nothing. - device recognized by a phone as a bluetooth speaker. You cant use it as a speakerphone with you cell. - you cant call a regular phone number (even with a fee). - it doesnt support Webex meetings. Helpdesk says that theyre working on it, but no ETA. Webex (via website) does not recognize microphone / speaker, or camera. No MS Teams support, no google meet. - do you want to use it as a photo frame? Only with your facebook photos. - very few applications. 10? Useful? 2-3 max. - no email client, no calendar. Yes, you can open outlook 365 or gmail in a web browser but this is not the case. - Alexa on this device is handicapped. Most of commonly used functions not supported. - Although it is an android device, you cannot install apps from the play store. Actually you can - but you cant access them after the installation. This is the first time I decided to return an electronic device. I am done with it 3 hours after unboxing. Ugh.

Greater than one weekIve been with my momma for a number of months helping her to transition to a retirement community & working through some medical challenges. Ive been in the habit of tucking her in each night. Now its time for me to go home. I purchased this so that we can connect each night at bedtime. I especially love how it is voice controlled. All she has to do is tell it to call me. I got the biggest size so that its more life size... This will bring us both a lot of comfort, connectedness. Night times can be a challenge for her, this will help so much cuz Im just a video call away!
