Greater than one weekEasily Installable. The only negative part is that the instructions dont give great direction on backing files up or how to restore them. I had to look this part up online. Also, the instruction for un-installing the hard drive, are for older model PS4s, which mine is not. BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK - Compared to prices at a local shop such as Gamestop or Bestbuy, this product offers an amazing price. Not only are you getting the hard drive at a fraction of the price, you also get an 8 GB thumb drive and a good quality external hard drive chassis that allows you to transform your previous PS4 Hard drive into an external one for PC use. BACKING UP FILES - If you are looking to back up save files and are not worried about re-installing your games, make sure to export from each profile you want the save files from. These will need to be restored per profile. In my case, I backed up my main profile save files, but didnt realize it was only the main profile when attempting to restore the files. This required me to un-install the new hard drive, insert the old, back up the other profiles I cared about, and then re-install the new hard drive. Not too difficult, but time consuming. There is also an option to back EVERYTHING up, if you take the time to go through the file management options, and not just the save file back-up options. This may, as it would have in my case, taken more space than provided on the external thumb drive provided by the kit. FOR NEWER MODEL PS4s - The uninstall directions for the hard drive are for older models. On the newer models, the screw to remove the hard drive is in front, which then allows you to easily pull the hard drive out. The screw on mine required a drill to remove it, so be prepared.

> 3 dayI bought this kit due to reasonable price and the fact it provided everything I needed to upgrade, including instructions on the process. A few quick notes: 1. Before swapping drives, back up your PS4 to the USB drive and transfer to your computer (to make room for the install file). Once you install the drive and set up the PS4, you can go back to backup and restore using the USB drive and restore your saves and profiles for the PS4 (including guest accounts). 2. Download the full version of the system update, not the smaller file, as your PS4 will not recognize it and you will think youve just bricked your PS4. 3. This drive, though not an SSD or SSHD, is still faster than the factory HDD. I am speaking for the first gen PS4, I cannot say if it is faster than the PS4 Slim or PS4 Pro. 4. I have thirteen games currently installed on my PS4 after updating my HDD and still have 1TB and a little extra left. This absolutely helps when you hate deleting stuff just to make room for new games, especially when you have a lot of DLC or its a game that has had massive updates. 5. There are faster drives out there (SSD/SSHD) that are more expensive as well. This would be the budget option as far as storage is concerned. If you dont need the whole kit as I did, then you can spend less by simply buying the drive itself. I do appreciate that it comes with a casing and cable so that I can repurpose my old drive as a portable storage drive.
