Finera PS2 Controller to USB 2.0 Games Controller Adapter Converter Cable, Compatible with PS1 PS2 Dual Shock 2 Joypad Gamepad to PS3 PC Game

I bought this to use a Guitar Hero PS2 SG guitar with guitar hero world tour for PC. While this product says that it is not usable with guitars, it can be used with limited functionality. It registers whatever is plugged into it as a PS3 controller, so keep that in mind. The only issue Ive had with it is that the whammy bar is mapped to the same axis as the strum bar, so whammy is not usable while using this adapter. Otherwise, this product is great and does everything I would possibly want it to do. I would recommend if the whammy bar isnt to important to you (for guitar hero) I cannot speak to its use with actual PS2 controllers or with a PS3.

Got this so I could connect my PS2 ddr dance pads to my PS3 and it seems that it should work. But it doesn’t work. It constantly goes back and forth between connecting and disconnecting, so I think this adapter is useless. Doesn’t even work with a PS2 controller. Better off getting a PS3 dance pad.

Works great. I wanted the raphnet adapter but that was way more expensive and out of stock when I was looking at it. Anyway with this adapter the controller was recognized in windows right away. Whammy bar didnt work out of the box, but after installing SCPToolkit (google it) it was properly recognized in clone hero. My biggest worry before getting it was the latency but it hasnt been an issue for me personally. Just hope the cable holds up in the long run, seems a bit cheap and flimsy. Will update if things change.

Plugged in and expected drivers to automatically be installed as the product description states. That was not the case and several reviewers stated the link would be provided in the shipping container which also was not the case. I bought this to be used in clone hero and it shows up as a ps3 controller with no functionality.

It will work for the most parts but has problem with micro stutters where it will loose power for 1/20th of a second every so often then quickly reconnect. This is enough time to have the controller believe you are no longer holding a button when you in fact are. This happens across the three PCs I have tested it on, Which are running on windows 10, 8, and 7. Ill try ordering a few more to see if I just got a dud, or if its a consistent problem with all of their adapters.

I wanted this to connect my Dual Shock 2 controller to my PC, but it does not work at all. Useless product.
