I bought this adapter based solely on Marco Cardiels review in regards to having support for Playstation controllers pressure sensitive buttons, and Im happy to say it works perfectly. You will need to do some configuring on your end such as installing dshidmini, but once youve got everything set up its nothing but smooth sailing. I am using it for a Dualshock 2 controller, no issues whatsoever, all pressure sensitive buttons work exceptionally. Besides just being a controller for Playstation emulation, it works just as well with any other game. Cause lets face it, old Playstation controllers were built to last a lifetime.

While it does recognize that there is a controller connected, only 3 of the buttons work, and Ive tried multiple controllers. I even opened the adapter and re-soldered everything and still no changes in functionality.

Didnt even have to install seperate software to register inputs. Plug and play for Clonehero. Wammybar does not work which is a bummer.

Got this so I could connect my PS2 ddr dance pads to my PS3 and it seems that it should work. But it doesn’t work. It constantly goes back and forth between connecting and disconnecting, so I think this adapter is useless. Doesn’t even work with a PS2 controller. Better off getting a PS3 dance pad.

This works great with the PS1 Dualshock and the PS2 Dualshock! I originally purchased this to play Ridge Racer Type 4 with the JogCon, but it doesnt recognize the controller(when it was plugged in, it acted like the up and left D pad was held down). So thats the reason for a 3 star rating. Otherwise it works with the official controller(s).

This adapter works really well. The red octane guitar works well with clone hero and Im sure many other games. Only downfall is that the whammy bar isnt compatible with the adapter, but other than that, its really good.

Bought this to connect my Guitar Hero SG to my PC. Works well enough for Clone Hero. Whammy bar and Star Power tilt dont work with the version I got (according to other reviews of this product, sounds like that is hit or miss), but I can live without those and keep those controls bound to my mouse. A great cheap and Prime Shipped option.

Just bought 2 DDR soft pads and the adapter cant recognize them, so none of the buttons on the pad are even responsive, so dont buy for DDR or most likely isnt a ps2 controller cause it doesnt work.

I use this adapter to play clone hero with a PS2 Guitar Hero controller. Out of the box it will work, but the Whammy and strum bar will both be mapped to the same axis. However, by using DsHidMini, a universal Dualshock 3 driver, this issue can be fixed. Even tilt works!
