> 24 hourI got this for my Grand son for his 2 nd Birthday. His very much into musical instruments already , and when he saw this he immediately just started playing it!! This is a great , easily understandable fun gift for a young child. I’m sure he’ll have lots of fun with it!

> 24 hourI bought this for my son and was also gifted another of the same model. While one of the two was excellent, the other had poor intonation. In a toy that will give a child their first musical experience, its important that they are exposed to good intonation if you hope to start music lessons when theyre older. On another note, Fisher Price does not state that they use BPA-free plastic - somewhat concerning as my 13-month-old likes to chew on the mallet.

> 24 hourThis toy is so fun for my son. I’d be lying if my husband and I also don’t find it fun to play with. (My husband can play songs on demand on this thing) it’s a great toy for kids to make noise but not be too loud.

> 24 hourMy grandson (almost 9 months old) likes to suck on the mallet and occasionally bang on the metal plates. Hes not super interested in listening to me play, which is fine, since the short string makes it almost impossible. I am planning on cutting the string soon, since I think once he starts wanting to actually play it, the short string will cause frustration. But this seems sturdier than some other ones we looked at, and it reminds me of the ones my own kids had when they were little. Overall, a good product and Id buy it again.

> 24 hourWish the string attached to the beat stick were longer to allow side play. With the short string all you can do is hit the notes from a perpendicular fashion. At 13 mo. Its hard for her to get the sound out of the notes. She likes hearing what she is doing though.
