Fits perfect, easy to install on ipad mini

So far so good, took awhile to take off the old shattered screen but this is my first one. Also go ahead and watch the diy videos cause the instructions are not for old eyes

Sometimes it does not register the touch.

The gist: the kit is about 85% complete, the glass is easy to install, and it all works well. Id almost give this kit 5 stars except for a few salient omissions: the lack of instructions, and a couple of parts which I think should have been included. There are no instructions included in the kit, and the ones in this listing are garbage. Look to other sources for how to replace the digitizer. Everything that is included is of adequate quality, and everything was useful. I needed to provide a heat gun and safety glasses (do wear safety glasses, prescription glasses would work just as well, or a face shield--i had little pieces of glass pinging me in the face as I removed the very cracked digitizer). All told the replacement took me 3 hours to complete. I followed instructions on the iFixit site; there were a few discrepancies but fairly trivial ones, and it included many tips, cautions, and comments, in addition to the directions, that were more than adequate to make the repair fairly easy. As I mentioned, the glass was a mess of cracks, I covered the screen with a couple of layers of packaging tape to hold the majority of shards together as I worked. Once the glass was off everything went pretty smoothly. The two things which I think should have been included are adhesive and gloves. The glass is taped down, and at least in my case, the tape is almost impossible to recover. The gloves would make keeping the screen and glass free of finger prints. Both would be pretty cheap.

Worked perfectly. As described by other reviewers, the process is involved and time-consuming, but this is better than the $200 we would have been charged for fixing it.

This is just to answer a common question, Does it include the LCD screen? No it does not. It has a digitizer, but that is not the same as an LCD screen. That seems to be causing confusion. The digitizer is just the electronics embedded in the glass, which connects to the iPad via a small cable in the corner of the glass. But if you are having weird lines, patterns or colors, you need an LCD screen replacement, and you will have to buy that separately. The sellers answers to this question dont really answer the question. In one place they mention that you can also install an LCD screen, but fail to mention the most important piece of info: IS IT INCLUDED IN THIS BOX? Having opened the box, I can tell you, no it is not.

Im very upset with this product . why does it say that is a glass replacement and the one I got is plastic!! instructions were missing as well with the magnets that are supposed to come with the front glass . wow

The I stall kit is really good. The day after I installed the screen the digitizer stopped working. So no touch worked on the screen. I opened it back up and the ribbon cable had snapped in half. Un fortunately it was to late for a refund. So Im just out the $
