    Good but hard to install

Didn’t come with new magnets or a sticky place to attached salvaged magnets. Was not able to salvage my iPad mini with this. Complicated and delicate. I tried and failed, the instructions were so small you have to take a picture with you phone and zoom in to read.

The screen works great. Not to hard to install, just watch a few YouTube videos. My only complaint is the adhesive doesn’t stick well. I used a stronger adhesive tape, also needed a case so bought the otterbox one to help keep the screen in place. Since the case has been on I have had no problems and my iPad is like new.

The paper directions that came with it are difficult to follow. I followed along with a youtube video and that was super helpful. With patience and some technical understanding, this is absolutely do-able for a novice. Taking my cracked screen off was the hardest part - this took at least an hour. Beyond that, you will have to remove and later replace the LCD screen, metal shield plate, a ton of tony screws and some wires. In the end, it probably took me 3.5 hours, but I may have been slower than most because of being super careful. Ultimately, it was soo much cheaper than having a professional do it and my screen is just like new!

The instructions were really annoying to read. We watched a few YouTube videos and followed those instead. Honestly much easier to understand. We watched about 4 or 5 videos and not one of them said to unplug the battery (the instructions do). It is very important that you do so or you could blow a backlight fuse. I feel like the instructions should list this in big bold red letters. This took us about 3-4 hours to do from beginning to end. The first hour was spent trying to get the screen off. It was so badly shattered that we had to keep flaking off small pieces and it took forever. Then we took our time disassembling it because we didn’t want to mess anything up. After doing one, I bet it could be cut in half the time or less. The screen has weird lines in it when it’s off, but I don’t notice it while it’s turned on. It’s been replaced for about 5 days now and it works so great! There are no ghost touches or any sign of delayed or sensitive responses. I took my iPhone to a store to replace a broken screen and it is so sensitive and it drives me crazy. I paid way less for this iPad screen (of course having to do it myself), but this screen works way better than the replacements at a repair shop. I’ll update if anything changes, but so far so good!!

    Greater than one week

iPad mini 2 screen was shattered. Was able to repair the screen. When I first plugged the new screen all I got was a black screen. I held the power and home button until the Apple logo came up.

Would’ve got 5 stars but the only problem was the screen protector came cracked. But still was a great digitizer!
