Greater than one weekBig upgrade for my 1979 Sony PS-T1. Accurate and reliable and sonically superior to the Sony. It was fun putting the Fluance together upon arrival. Gained a deeper understanding of how the turntable functions.

> 3 dayI loved this turntable at first. It was easy for a novice to set-up and the sound was quite good. I, like many other reviewers, am annoyed that the arm doesnt automatically return after the album is finished. But, the belt is slipping after listening to no more than 5 brand new albums. My more than 200 vinyl collection was stolen and Im gragually (and expensively) replacing it. It was a major disappointment when I heard the stylus dragging over one of my new Pink Floyd replacements. I knew it was a stretched belt and I knew my settings were correct.

> 3 dayFirst off, Ive wanted desperately to love Fluance. Really. Ive tried to. I scraped together (and sold some stuff) so I could have a decent turntable. I studied up on dozens of different tables but this one continued to come up as the best bang for the buck. So I finally ordered it. When it arrived I set it all up and started it in. But the wow and flutter were out of control. I boxed it up and sent it back for a replacement and the people in customer service were great. This was in August. I got the new one, set it up and have enjoyed it. I bought some AI60s to match and have had all sorts of issues with them and the customer service was weeks at a time in responding. I decided to just eat the cost and enjoy them for what they are. One day Ill sell them and get something I like. By the time anyone actually responded my trial period was done anyway. So that sucks. Now my turntable is having issues with 45RPM. If the autostop is on, it slows WAY down the last 3 or 4 seconds. There are a few 45s it DOESNT do this on but it does it on most. It does NOT do this when the autostop is off. I bought this because it had an autostop feature. So there is obviously something defective on it. But, even after sending a video of the exact same record showing that it slows down on one setting and not the other they responded that it was an issue with my records. Seriously. This was well after a week of sending the email. I realize we are in a pandemic and things are slowed down a bit but this was an issue I had in January so thats not the problem. The problem is they dont care. And their products are amazing until they are not. And then you wont get any help. So, even though Ive given them multiple chances (and hundreds of dollars...dammit why didnt I go for Technics and Klipsch????!!!) Ill write these guys off for good. Unfortunately Im stuck since I cant afford to replace all this stuff :(

> 3 dayThe sound quality is amazing. I bought this gift for my husband for his birthday he loves the fact that they came like gloves because its so shiny. He can stop bragging about it how much he loves her. I would highly recommend for anyone who likes to play records.

> 3 dayThis is my first new turntable in perhaps 50 years. Back then most were record changers (Garrard, Dual, etc.) or the first of the consumer belt drive tables (Sansui, Technics, etc.). After the complexity of those units it is amazing just how very simple this manual table really is. Basically just a platter, motor, and tone arm as separate items on a wood base to hold them all together. The simplicity almost seems like a toy but it does the job intended and sounds great in the process. I bought the RT82 model for the electronic speed control and am not disappointed. If you are new to vinyl or just rediscovering like me this is a great table for you.

> 3 dayMy old Techniques SL-Q3 still works but has its issues. So, I looked for new TT, after some research it was a toss up between AT-120USB (Direct Drive) and the rt82 (Belt Drive). First, I bought the AT-120 (options, reviews, & used to DD) sounded great for the price point. However, the Anti-Skate didnt work properly and (depending on volume, low vibration resistance) it gave a hum to feedback, so I returned it. Purchased the RT82, got it quickly, nothing damaged, easy to put together, and pleasing to the eye. The Anti-Skate worked perfectly, the motor has little to no sound, the sound resistance is great no hum, the sound is good with the OM10 (not as warm as I like) but got another cart/styli I prefer and it sounds great... The RT82 is a great buy at its price point with upgradability and a strong company presence making it easier to get parts, if needed (was part of my decision). However, no VTA which can be an issue with some head shells and cart/stylis, so be aware if this would be an issue for you.

> 3 dayI dont claim to be an audiophile. But I am an experienced listener of quality music and have mixed music professionally in the past. I had an old Technics turntable for decades and kept my vinyl collection in good condition. Once I setup the Fluance RT82, I was impressed with the richness of tunes that I had not experienced from my previous setup. The setup takes patience and attention to detail. But not too difficult to follow. It does require a preamp (But most quality turntables do). I didnt experience any need to burn in the sound (as other reviewers mention) as it has sounded great since the first album played! If you can appreciate good audio and you are meticulous about caring for your collection and your gear, you will like this product.
