> 3 dayThe Fluance RT 82 came with the OM 10 cartridge, which I was looking for too. I own a couple of cartridges; Ortofon Concorde MK2, OM Pro S, and Audio-Technica AT-VM95E. My favorite is the OM Pro S, and it has great bass and amazing sound quality (the other two are great too). I bought the RT 82 as an upgrade for my vintage Technics SL 235, and I thought the OM 10 cartridge was a win-win for me. It has a cool design and looks. However, I am disappointed with the T 82 sound and the OM cartridge (probably I got a crappy one). The sound quality of the bass is not match to my SL 235. I switched cartridges (and switched the pre-amps and used different pre-amps), and the sound quality of the RT 82 improved, but the sound of my SL 235 was still better. You will get a good sound with the RT-82 if you get a decent cartridge (OM Pro S, MK3, or better), and I still recommend the RT 82 if you need a good turntable.

> 3 daythe people who make products why wont you look at it from the stand point of the customer. tonearm adjustment is a joke when you can barely see the numbers. no place for the 45 adapter. finish is so dark you cant see the wood grain.

18-11-2024This is my first new turntable in perhaps 50 years. Back then most were record changers (Garrard, Dual, etc.) or the first of the consumer belt drive tables (Sansui, Technics, etc.). After the complexity of those units it is amazing just how very simple this manual table really is. Basically just a platter, motor, and tone arm as separate items on a wood base to hold them all together. The simplicity almost seems like a toy but it does the job intended and sounds great in the process. I bought the RT82 model for the electronic speed control and am not disappointed. If you are new to vinyl or just rediscovering like me this is a great table for you.

> 3 dayI just took delivery today and Im very impressed overall. I have a modest system driving the music through an Onkyo 8140 receiver into a pair of Paradigm Mini Monitors (from the 90s). This table is pulling everything from the vinyl. I ordered a second headshell to mount an Ortophon 2M Red that I recently purchased trying to upgrade my old Philips 677 table. This will allow me to keep the factory setup OM10 in case I dont like the sound. Just popped on Little Feats Sailin Shoes (yep, Im a geezer) and the album sings! The only caution is that there is considerable setup and assembly. Instructions are very clear though. Also, the auto stop function is unique and very useful. Dont hesitate. Update: I received the second headshell and mounted my OM2 Red cart. I was a bit disappointed in the performance vs. the OM10. The 2M Red seems a bit muddier and less open although the bass response is at least as strong, maybe a bit stronger. I would probably advise to save up for an OM2 Blue instead since the reviews seem to suggest a big dynamic upgrade from the Red. Bottom line is that I actually prefer the OM10 and am sticking with it

> 3 dayI can not say enough how happy I am with the purchase of this turntable. Out of the box and in about 15 minutes we were listening to our albums. They sound fantastic. I purchased the RT82. If you purchase this model make sure you have Phono port on our stereo. I did not realize they stopped putting these on Stereos. I had to have add a Preamp. I purchased the ART DJPREII Phono Preamplifier and the sound is great. Originally I had a different preamp and the bass was not very good. However when I switched to the DJPREII the Bass was perfect. I also got the Piano Black and my daughter got the Walnut. both look great but really like the black!

> 3 dayComing from a more basic turntable, it took me a while to figure out how to get the tonearm balanced. It wasnt until I found Fluances video on the subject (Amazon wont let me provide the link but its on Youtube) that I finally got this setup without the tonearm skating. The turntable sounds great with the stock cartridge/needle, and looks great with its shiny white finish. Love the auto-off feature as well - the fact that the arm does not return to the starting position is no big deal for me.

> 3 dayFrom top to bottom an amazing piece of equipment. The fit and finish are executed to perfection and the sound it creates is pure and effortless.

21-11-2024This does a lot of things great. Great instructions, comprehensive packaging, sounds great in the best case scenario. However, they went cheap on the stylus. Once u get to the last one or two songs on the record, it struggles mightily on tracking - including new records. The stylus is cleaned regularly and routinely underperforms on the last couple songs resulting in heavy distortion. This would be a 5 star product if they instead included the OM20. You’re better off getting a $100 turntable with a $200 stylus.

> 3 dayThis is an amazing turntable. A huge step up from my Audio Technica LP60. A gorgeous and heavy table that looks and feels like quality. The OM10 cartridge sounds excellent. This table is also a great investment since it’s easily upgradable to a red or blue Ortofon cartridge. This will be by go to table for years to come. Exceptional value.
