Greater than one weekHnggg you wanna talk about quality. This is the most beautiful for the price multimeter from Fluke. This is 100% warrantied and repairable through Fluke. DO NOT LET MADE IN CHINA FOOL YOU. Fluke is in their shops DAILY ensuring immensely high quality products to be produced. It sucks that we cant buy in the U.S. or Japan, or Germany, but this still is probably the best thing to ever come out of China.

> 3 dayIve been using Fluke 87s at work for many years, but after extensive research, decided this one would work for my needs at home. (Remodeling the house and auto work on occasion)

> 3 dayI am an electrical engineer and have been using this meter for about six weeks so far. I am very happy that I didnt settle for a no-name meter. Build quality seems excellent. No complaints about the display readability and the backlight is fine. The LoZ feature for AC volts is essential for many applications. The leads that come with it are pretty stiff, so I am glad that I also bought the 175E silicone leads. I can also recommend the Aenllosi Hard Protective Case, since the 117 doesnt come with one.

> 3 dayThis is a great multimeter and it works perfect. The reason I give it 4 out of five stars is because the beep from the continuity tester is really faint. I use it in a manufacturing setting where there’s loud machines, drills, and guys with loud stereos. We use the Fluke 87 and I can hear that perfect, this Fluke 117 can barely be heard. If you’re doing a continuity test constantly look elsewhere.

> 3 dayFirst I ordered a cheap $50 meter, thinking it would be “good enough “. It had the proximity voltage detection which I thought would be handy. Well it barley worked. Intermittent at best. Not what you want when checking for voltage. I returned it and figured this wasn’t the item to try and save money on. I be worked with Flukes for over 30 yrs and this one is what you want. Only think they need to include a manual and a pouch.

> 3 dayI previously had a craftsman $60 multimeter which I used to diagnose electrical issues on my boat. In attempting to solve a problem at sea one day. I had a senior tech tell me he was sure the prpbl with my difficulties in diagnosing the issue were a inferior multimeter. He recommended the Fluke 117 and Im confident it will be great.

> 3 dayIts a Fluke! Had one decades ago and it got stolen. Couldnt afford another replacement Fluke, so bought a Radio Shack digital meter (their top of the line back then) that had transistor, frequency and capacitor testing. After almost 30 years, it finally started falling apart, literally!
