I have a Fluke meter for years but my old one finally bit the dirt. this meter gives me the accuracy I have been used to for years. I bought my first one at a pawn shop in Florida and have been using it for over 20 years, but the switch finally wore out. I absolutely love this meter. I am a ham radio operator and use this meter for just about every thing it was created for. No more problems. I feel like I stepped out of the dark ages.

Great buy!! As an electrician this was exactly what i needed to perform the needed work at my home and on the job.

If youre doing control work, this is not the meter for you. Cant do mA readings. Had to send mine back and get the more expensive model. But still a great meter for general electrical testing.

I go way back to the days when you called their devices John Fluke. I guess it was the late 60s. I am a retired EE and in those years I worked for Radiation, Inc., which is now Harris Systems. We would buy only the best test equipment and not just multimeters. We also had things like John Fluke frequency generators, calibration standards and instruments, storage Oscopes, etc.

I saw many different multimeters for much cheaper, but you get what you pay for. I got an awesome multimeter that probably does way more than what I need, but at least I know it will last. The instructions are great. With so many options and not being an expert on electrical anything, it made it much easier to understand how to use the tool.

I bought this and had it shipped to Afghanistan back in 2010 when i was in the Military. Mine still looks like its brand new 6 years later. I love the volt detect, saves time when doing a quick check for power. I love the back-light. Awesome and reliable product, built like a tank!
