Fluke 117 Digital Multimeter, Non-Contact AC Voltage Detection, Measures Resistance/Continuity/Frequency/Capacitance/Min Max Average, Automatic AC/DC Voltage Selection, Low Impedance Mode

This is my second personal Fluke. Had my first one for 15 years, it still works ok, but doesnt have the current measurement.

Works perfectly. Quality is outstanding. Should last a lifetime.

My only complaint is, I wish this had temperature reading like the 116. Otherwise, its a great meter.

But I was able to follow the instructions I was given and it worked for me perfectly.

I am new to electrical work and I am building a solar/electrical system in a van. So I did the research on multi- meters and went for the Fluke. This thing is invaluable! I am so glad I have it!

Ive been getting voltage and resistance readings. I needed to check amps for the first time and couldnt get a reading. Checked amps with my Mustool meter and got an amp reading. Found out I could do a fuse check and it failed. Only displayed O.L. Performed an ohm check on fuse itself and got O.L

All is ok

You can never go wrong with a Fluke.

Item arrived without the leads as advertised in the description. I contacted Amazon, and they had a complete replacement on my doorstep the very next day. Wow. Customer support is second to none, well done Amazon as always. I havent used the meter much, but my main concern was as other reviewers had described poor display qualities. For me, I dont think the display deserves negative feedback - the numbers are big and easy to read, and I think the contrast is fine. Like most LCD displays, there seems to be an optimum viewing angle, and so long as you have that angle or close to it, there should not be any problems with the screen.

A fine piece of equipment for the non-professional. Very accurate, and also true to the description, this thing registers almost no ghost voltage.
