Fluke 117 Digital Multimeter, Non-Contact AC Voltage Detection, Measures Resistance/Continuity/Frequency/Capacitance/Min Max Average, Automatic AC/DC Voltage Selection, Low Impedance Mode

The title says it all, and i use this meter every day for work. It does most the things a handheld meter is expected to do. I love the volt alert, although at times it may be a bit sensitive if your looking for a specific wire with power on it. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a simple meter or doesnt know what they want.

As expected frontera Fluke, it is a Well made intrument. I was expected to be made in USA, but I cant say that this one is the inferior quality. Good performance.

Wanted a relatively inexpensive DMM as a second unit; this one suits my needs well. The precision isnt quite as good as the 177/179 but is fine for what I do. I especially like the Lo-Z setting, which pays no attention to the ghost voltage one otherwise sees in mains power (120V 60Hz) because of voltage induced from other lines in the vicinity of those in the circuit your measuring.

The photos show a small hand size meter with 117c on them but what you get is a larger 117 meter. Photos are misleading. I chose this meter because it was supposed to be pocket size but it’s much larger.

Nice meter but I had to return it. This meter does not have mA capabilities. Had to spend more to acquire this feature. But for electricians use this meter is perfect.

I have been borrowing the Fluke 117 from my uncle for a year now. I almost went with the amprobe 570, but it felt cheap in my hand and it isntas accurate. The Fluke 117 has been very accurate for me, so I finally just decided on it.

But I was able to follow the instructions I was given and it worked for me perfectly.

Gets the job done, like it should!

I like the meter but the lead wires are not very flexible. In the cold it is like working with coat hangers.
