Let’s face it this is the part that keeps the unit from leaking, it’s the part that has to be messed with the most, and plastic gets brittle over time. This replacement part is easy to connect to the lines, and with this one little thing what would make your expensive canister filter useless is completely resolved. Bought it for my 406 and my 306 and both worked like new again with no leaks.

Was worried about it fitting but it went with our 306 fluval filter perfectly!

Works great, this saved my 4 year old fluval. I had replaced the pipes with just some clear tubing from the local home improvement shop and had them clamped on really tight which caused the spots to shear off with age and wear. This part saved an otherwise good filter.

Evidently all big Fluval filter water stops break or leak eventually. The one on my 406 took 4 years to start leaking. Not bad. Im very gentle when disconnecting for cleaning. But its nice to see they are still available. Kinda pricey but the Fluval filters are still the best in my opinion. I havent even had to replace the impeller cover since they improved the design some years ago. Bought a spare stop for next time.
